Ant-Man and the Wasp Sets Up Two Marvel Teams

For more on Ant-Man and the Wasp, be sure to also check out our Ending Explained feature or the WTF Questions we have about the film!

Ant-Man and the Wasp may have chronicled the story of Scott Lang, Hank Pym and Hope van Dyne attempting to rescue the long-lost Janet van Dyne from the Quantum Realm, but along the way it also subtly sowed seeds for the debut of two teams from Marvel’s comics -- teams that could be part of the as-of-yet unrevealed Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Anime Studio Trigger Launches a Patreon

The animation studio behind Kill la Kill and Little Witch Academia, Studio Trigger, has started a Patreon.

The idea of Trigger launching a Patreon first popped up last year, but members from Trigger revealed at their 2018 Anime Expo panel that they were making the Patreon a reality. During the panel, they stated that this Patreon is meant to support the studio and its animators. The Trigger Patreon page reveals more:

"We’re a studio that strives for a global audience and values communications with our fans. If you've been in a creative business, I bet we can all relate that a simple feedback is all it takes to make our day great. However, there’s no denying at times we wished we had an extra buck or two. There’s been one too many incidents where we had to give up a merchandise idea because it was unprofitable, or simply due to lack of funding. That’s where you and Patreon comes in! With your support, we would like to forward funds into various aspect of the studio. Possibly a new line of merchandise, attending/conducting more events, or simply providing a little more to our staff."

This interview contains spoilers for series finale of Syfy's 12 Monkeys.

Syfy’s 12 Monkeys has finished its loop. The finale saw Team Splinter gather its forces -- including a few familiar (and recently dead) faces -- to stop The Witness and Titan from destroying time.

And, spoiler alert, they did. The Witness was killed, our heroes re-wrote the timeline, and surprisingly, everyone got a happy ending. But just because all of time and reality was saved, doesn’t mean there aren’t still questions to be answered.

Meet the Fans Resurrecting a Legendary Cancelled LEGO Bionicle Game

When Bionicle: Tales of the Tohunga was released for the GameBoy Advance back in 2001, it was poorly received, to say the least. A licensed game themed around LEGO’s hugely popular Bionicles figures, IGN gave it a 4.5, saying “I've had more fun watching my grandmother play bingo.” It even immediately faced legal trouble, having to be renamed post-launch after Maori tribes from New Zealand complained about LEGO’s blatant cultural appropriation.

But Bionicles fans still found something to like in it, and those who managed to beat it were rewarded with a glimpse at what was next. The GBA game ended with a special cutscene showing the mythical Toa arriving on the island of Mata Nui, an exciting tease for a planned PC-exclusive sequel called Bionicle: The Legend of Mata Nui -- but 17 years later that sequel has still never materialised.

5 References to the ‘PlayStation5′ and ‘Xbox Two’ Next-Gen Consoles

While we’re constantly speculating on what the future of video games has in store, E3 2018 marked the beginning of folks in the industry directly referencing the next generation of consoles. Not mid-generation improvements like the Pro and the X, but, for lack of official names, the PlayStation 5 and the “Xbox Two,” which  seems to be codenamed Scarlet. More on that later.

From rumors to speculation to concrete details, here are are 5 references to the next generation of consoles that came out of E3 2018.

Next-gen talk kicked into gear during the final moments of Bethesda’s E3 2018 conference. After showing off extended demos Rage 2 and Fallout 76, both of which should be in our hands in less than a year, Todd Howard capped off the show with two brief, but important announcements. Starfield, the long-rumored “third open-world pillar” for Bethesda, and The Elder Scrolls 6.
