Opinion: Long Campaigns Can Ruin Games

thatgamecompany’s Journey is easily the single most emotionally powerful and resonant game I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing. By the time I got around to giving it a go in late 2011, I had already convinced myself it couldn’t be remotely as special as people had claimed. I played it because I felt like I needed to, to be up on the so-called “best” games that year.

Little did I know just how much Journey would impact me. I still can’t quite place just why I cried during the ending. The fact is that Journey did something to me, and it left such an indelible mark that I refused to ever play it again. The brief time I spent with it represented all I needed to see, and meant more to me than the scores of hours I’ve spent with other, deeper, more engaging and involved titles. Journey occupied 90 of the most powerful minutes of any game I’ve ever played, 90 of the most important minutes I’ve ever played in 25 years of daily gaming. It’s not my favorite game, or anywhere near that. It’s just the one that managed to cram a metric ton of feeling into such a tiny product. It should be commended for not wasting my time, for it had no time to waste.

Hyperdimension Neptunia U Listed on ESRB for PC

The ESRB lists PC as one of the platforms for Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed. The game was already announced for the PS Vita and is expected to arrive sometime in the early part of 2015. However, there hasn't been an official announcement for PC.

As far as the rating goes, the camera in Action Unleashed will "focus on female characters' underwear, pelvic areas, and chests," according to the ESRB. The dialogue also includes "suggestive material," in typical Neptunia fashion. That, in addition to the "fantasy violence," earned it a T rating.

Both of those couples and this new piece were all sculpted by Tim Bruckner, so if you liked his previous work, then know you're getting similar quality here.

Check Out This Amazing Breaking Bad Figure

Just in time for the debut of Better Call Saul, toy company Threezero has revealed an amazingly realistic Breaking Bad figure. Threezero's Heisenberg figure depicts Walter White's dark alter ego in all his glory, and proves that Hot Toys doesn't have a monopoly on the lifelike action figure market.

This Heisenberg figure is designed at 1:6 scale and measures about 12 inches tall, putting it in line with other 1:6 scale figures from companies like Hot Toys and Sideshow. The figure comes with a show-accurate outfit and multiple accessories like Heisenberg's porkpie hat, sunglasses, alternate hands, and a hefty pile of cash. Check out the figure in all its glory:

The Heisenberg figure is currently available for pre-order on Threezero's website for $150 (which includes international shipping costs). The figure is currently slated to be released in Q3 2015, assuming no angry Florida moms petition to have it recalled.
