Warner Bros.’ Next Solo Batman Movie Gets An Official Title

Warner Bros.' revealed the official title of its upcoming solo Batman movie, called simply, "The Batman," during the Warner Bros. panel today at San Diego Comic-Con.

While we've heard reference to this being the working title -- Affleck stated that's what he wanted to call it -- the logo flashing on screen during the slate of upcoming DCEU films is the first time we've seen it officially confirmed.

Ben Affleck who has cast doubt on how long he would fill the boots and cape appeared on stage with the rest of the Justice League.

Wonder Woman 2 Officially Confirmed

Warner Bros. and DC have officially confirmed that Wonder Woman 2 is a part of the upcoming slate of DCEU films.

In the Warner Bros. film panel moderated by Chris Hardwick at San Diego Comic-Con 2017, DC revealed its upcoming flood of movies, including Justice League, Aquaman, Justice League Dark, Green Lantern Corps, The Batman (DC has officially confirmed the title), Shazam!, Batgirl, The Flash (which will be adapting the iconic Flashpoint storyline), and finally, the much-anticipated sequel.

Huge DC Rebirth Mystery to Be Revealed in Action Comics

DC Comics held their "Justice For All" panel at SDCC this morning. The panel focused on a wide range of DC Rebirth comics, and while no new projects were announced, the panel did hint at some big developments to come as the Rebirth train keeps rolling.

The biggest revelation in the panel came from Action Comics writer Dan Jurgens, who confirmed that the identity of the enigmatic Mr. Oz will be revealed in September's Action Comics #987, the first chapter of "The Oz Effect." Jurgens promised that this reveal will have a huge impact on the entire Superman family, and that the clues to piece together Oz's identity are already out there. First, however, readers should also look to next week's Action Comics #984 for another big twist.

Cloverfield 3 Pushed to 2018

The third installment in the Cloverfield universe, previously known as God Particle, has been pushed back a little over three months.

Variety reports that, instead of opening in theaters on October 27, the J.J. Abrams-produced film will now be released on February 2, 2018. This is the second time the movie has been delayed, as it was originally dated for a February 24, 2017 release.

The story is set in the near future and centers around a team of astronauts on a space station who must fight for survival after making a terrifying discovery.

New Gears of War Comic Series Announced

Gears of War developer The Coalition has announced a new series of comics based on its third-person shooter series is coming next year.

In a post on the official Gears of War website, the studio announced it's partnering with IDW Publishing and writer Kurtis Wiebe (Rat Queens) on the new comic book series.

Westworld has added two new cast members for Season 2.

Variety reports American Gods star Jonathan Tucker has joined the hit HBO show as a commanding military officer named Major Craddock.

Geoff Johns on the Batman Movie Universe

The Warner Bros. panel is easily one of the most anticipated events at Comic-Con this week. But you don't have to wait until Saturday morning to learn more about where the DC Extended Universe is heading in the next few years. We were able to chat with DC Films co-head Geoff Johns today to pick his brain on Wonder Woman and the Batman-heavy approach of this universe.

Johns noted his excitement that Wonder Woman's recent success will fuel the push towards Justice League this November. "Having Wonder Woman in Justice League is exciting because, again, there's such a different audience than the typical audience that went to see that movie, and now they'll see Justice League and get to be introduced to all these other characters like Aquaman and Flash and Cyborg, and see Batman and the whole gang together."
