Fire Emblem Heroes Devs on Sacred Coins, Adding New Ways to Make Characters Stronger

Six months after launch, the team behind Nintendo's second mobile game, Fire Emblem Heroes, have no intention of slowing down its frequent updates of new events, challenges, and more.

Speaking to IGN, Fire Emblem Heroes directors Kouhei Maeda of Intelligent Systems and Shingo Matsushita of Nintendo said fan feedback plays an instrumental role in what the Intelligent Systems team decides to change and tweak. Among those changes fans can expect are new ways of making their existing characters more powerful.

"So when you're thinking about existing characters and ways to make them stronger, you have inherent skills, and you also have Sacred Seals. But we're also developing other methods that you could use to make your character stronger," Matsushita said.

Huge Image Gallery From Our BioShock Anniversary Party

9 Superhero Shows You (Probably) Never Heard Of

Superhero fans of the 21st century have it easy. Not only are there great movies finally being made about our favorite costumed crimefighters, and a lot of them too, but there are also tons of rock solid live-action superhero TV shows. For many decades, a single, solitary superhero TV series as good as Daredevil, The Flash, Jessica Jones, Arrow, Luke Cage or even Legends of Tomorrow would have been hailed as a godsend.

Instead, we had… these. A series of most forgettable, mostly forgotten live-action superhero shows with dopey storylines, cheesy special effects and, in one case, a freakin’ invisible dinosaur as a villain. These were dark times. Click through the slideshow below for 9 live-action superhero shows that you, as a 21st century individual, have (probably) never heard of…

Apple and Amazon Vying for James Bond Movie Rights

Apple and Amazon have reportedly thrown their hats into the ring in an attempt to gain the distribution rights to the James Bond franchise.

THR reports that the two companies are vying for the rights and are placing bids in the ballpark of what Warner Bros., the company reportedly in the lead of this rights battle, is willing to pay.

Amazon has been involved in the film world for a little while now, although nothing on the level of something like the Bond franchise. Zack Van Amburg and Jamie Erlicht, former co-presidents of Sony Pictures Television, are reportedly leading the charge for Apple, with THR's sources suggesting the reason Apple is going after the Bond rights is to also try and expand the brand into the world of television.

Star Wars: Rian Johnson Reveals Who The Last Jedi Is

Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson has revealed who exactly the title refers to.

Spoilers may follow for Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

In an interview with The New York Times, Johnson said the film's name comes directly from the opening crawl of The Force Awakens and that Luke Skywalker is indeed the last Jedi.

“There’s always wiggle room in these movies — everything is from a certain point of view — but coming into our story, he is the actual last of the Jedi," Johnson said.

At the end of The Force Awakens, Rey finds Luke alone and away from the life he knew, and the The Last Jedi will explore why Luke isolated himself alongside why he believes “it’s time for the Jedi to end,” as the character said in the sequel's first teaser.

Iceman Writer Explains the Power of Coming Out

Iceman #5 sees Bobby Drake, aka Iceman of the X-Men go head-to-head with the unstoppable Juggernaut, a super villain imbued with mystic power that makes him unbelievably strong and impossible invulnerable when he’s charging forward. But would you believe that’s only the second hardest thing Bobby has to do in this issue? The fun-loving, wise-cracking Bobby is also forced to get serious for a moment and finally come out of the closet to his parents.

“Telling your parents something difficult is universal. And so we just felt that’s something that someone like Bobby Drake would totally want to avoid, but have to face. And we knew that it would come after or around a brutal fight with Juggernaut, because there’s no better metaphor for the unstoppable nature of things than the goddamn Juggernaut,” Iceman writer Sina Grace told us in a phone interview. “Talking to your parents is one of the most emotionally exhausting experiences for a lot of young gay men, myself included. I just wanted him to really show off as a hero right as Bobby Drake, human being, is at his lowest point. That’s where the best Marvel stories come from, is when a hero is basically stripped of everything, and still somehow has the spirit to save the day.”

Wrestling Wrap Up: Is a Live Christmas RAW Bad for Business?

I know, I know. I may have gone overboard with that headline, but you can't deny that Labor Day was not the best time to announce that Christmas day's RAW - a show that's usually taped ahead of time so that the superstars and road crew can be home with their families after working the other 51 weeks of the year - would be live.

Yes, on a day meant to celebrate the worker and the labor unions who battled on behalf of them to get things like a 40-hour work week, minimum wage, and dozens of other rights and regulations put into place, WWE announced that the RAW brand will have to spend Christmas performing on a traditionally low-rated show.

How Gwendoline Christie Chose Her Next TV Role After GoT

Gwendoline Christie is a breakout star in two of the world's biggest franchises: Game of Thrones and Star Wars. So when it came time to pick what project came next for her, she really didn't have to; she had it written for her by one of the women she most respects: Jane Campion.

The story behind how Christie got cast in the BBC and Sundance Channel co-production Top of the Lake: China Girl is a fairy tale even by Hollywood standards. Christie traces her desire to work with Campion back to when she was 11-years-old. She's followed Campion's career ever since and, as a huge fan of 2013's first season of Top of the Lake, she wrote The Piano director a letter to express her love for the show. When Campion wrote her back several months later, it was to say she had written Christie a part for the much anticipated new season (though Christie still had to audition for the role).
