The Avengers Are Going Weekly in Marvel Legacy

Marvel Comics has revealed some big changes hitting the Avengers franchise in early 2018. Beginning in January, Avengers, U.S.Avengers and Uncanny Avengers will merge into one unified Avengers comic that will ship weekly.

As revealed by Newsarama, this change is coming as Marvel kicks off a massive, 12-part crossover called "No Surrender." That crossover will run in the pages of the weekly Avengers series from January through March 2018, starting with Avengers #675. Current writers Mark Waid, Al Ewing and Jim Zub will all co-write the weekly series. Pepe Larraz  will draw the January issues, followed by Kim Jacinto in February and Paco Medina in March.

Ataribox Will Be a ‘Full PC Experience for the TV’

Atari has revealed additional details about its new Ataribox console, including pricing information, a release window, and its upcoming crowdfunding campaign.

The Ataribox will launch in "late Spring 2018" for $250-$300 USD, Atari revealed in its latest newsletter (via Polygon). The company says it will be a Linux-based console that's a "full PC experience for the TV, bringing you streaming, applications, social, browsing, music, and more."

Atari's first console in 20 years will be powered by a custom AMD processor with Radeon graphics. Ataribox will support pre-loaded retro Atari games, as well as "current titles from a range of studios."

Game of Thrones Season 8 Directors Revealed

The directors who will helm the last six episodes of Game of Thrones ever have been revealed.

As reported by Entertainment Weekly, the eighth and final season of HBO's hit fantasy drama will see the return of two Emmy award winning directors who've headed some of the most infamous episodes of the series.

Miguel Sapochnik is on deck to handle at least one episode from the upcoming season. He previously directed the noteworthy episodes "Battle of the Bastards," and "The Winds of Winter," from Game of Thrones season 6, for which he won an Emmy for best direction.

The other director returning for the final season is none other than David Nutter, who previously directed season 3's heart-wrenching "The Red Wedding," and the season 5 finale "Mother's Mercy," in addition to four other episodes over three seasons.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 Multiplayer Maps, Modes Revealed

Electronic Arts has released new details about the eleven multiplayer maps and five modes that will be available at launch for Star Wars Battlefront II.

As detailed on EA's official site, the game will feature three prequel-era maps: Kamino, Kashyyyk and Theed; five original trilogy-era maps: Death Star II, Endor, Mos Eisley, Yavin 4 and Hoth; and three The Force Awakens-era maps: Starkiller Base, Jakku and Takodana.

Details about the game's multiplayer modes were also revealed. According to another post on EA's official site, Battlefront II will feature a mode called Strike, where two eight-player teams will compete in objective-based missions. Meanwhile, a mode called Starfighter Assault will have players assume control over hero ships, fighters, bombers and interceptors as two teams "engage in multi-stage, objective based space battles."
