Top Gun: Maverick Casts Miles Teller in Lead Role

Top Gun: Maverick has cast Miles Teller as the young protégé to Tom Cruise's Maverick.

Deadline reports Teller will portray the son of Maverick's (Tom Cruise) late best friend Goose in what said to be a lead role in the sequel. Anthony Edwards portrayed Goose in the original Top Gun.

According to reports last week, Teller was among the fontrunners for the role along with Nicholas Hoult and Glen Powell.

Val Kilmer will reportedly return as Iceman, with the Top Gun sequel also set to feature a new version of the 1980s hit, Danger Zone.

New Mega Man 11 Details Revealed

New details for Mega Man 11 have been revealed, including the addition of Time Attack and Balloon Attack modes, as well the new Robot Master, Blast Man.

Capcom announced Time Attack mode allows Mega Man to revisit Robot Masters' stages and play through them as quickly as possible to try and top online leaderboards.

The Balloon Attack mode also runs on a timer, but it removes all of the stage's enemies in favor of red and blue balloons. If Mega Man misses a blue balloon, or accidentally hits a red balloon, his overall time will take a hit.

We Happy Few No Longer Banned in Australia

After being denied classification by the Australian Classification Review Board back in May – effectively banning the game for sale in the country – We Happy Few has been given an official rating and will now be released in Australia.

No official explanation was given when We Happy Few was originally denied classification. However in today's official media release, the ACB revealed it was specifically due to We Happy Few's portrayal of drug use, writing "In the Classification Review Board’s opinion We Happy Few warrants an R18+ classification because the interactive drug use is high in impact."

The Top 10 Rick and Morty Episodes

After just three seasons, Rick and Morty is already widely regarded as one of the best animated sitcoms of all time. It's hard to top the series' winning blend of high-concept storytelling, absurd humor and emotionally raw characterization, even if fans are often left waiting for months - or even years - between new installments.

Adult Swim recently renewed Rick and Morty for a whopping 70 more episodes. Co-creator Justin Roiland said that this will allow he and Dan Harmon to start producing new seasons more rapidly and consistently. Unfortunately, there's no word yet on when Season 4 will debut.

You can watch the English dubbed first "season" of Dragon Ball Super for free for a limited time.

The first 13 episodes of the hit anime are currently available to watch for free on the Microsoft Store for the next week, which you can access through an Xbox or Windows 10 PC.

Dragon Ball Super recently wrapped up with episode 131, which we think concludes the series "in the best way, delivering a truly special experience from beginning to end."

Playground Mode Returns to Fortnite

Playtime has returned to Fortnite.

Epic Games announced the return of Fortnite's Playground mode late last night, a week after the developer took it offline for retooling. The news appeared on Reddit from the developer's official account.

Epic Games initially revealed the limited time mode back in May as a consequence-free environment for players to practice their crafting, try new weapons, and generally play around.

Wild West Theories and Time Travel Speculation for Fortnite: Season 5

Season 5 of Fortnite is less than two weeks away and theories on what will change are at an all time high, including speculation on a potential time travel theme.

Most theories stem from the exciting results of the rocket launch this past weekend. After what appeared to be a failed attempt to destroy Tilted Towers, the rocket zoomed back up where it left a giant tear in the sky. Since the event, strange anomalies have been spotted at Lonely Lodge and the motel, swallowing up nearby objects like the motel sign. Another rift has appeared near the giant tomato head at Tomato Town.

Microsoft Announces Xbox One X PUBG Bundle

Microsoft today announced two new Xbox One console bundles. Available starting today are the Xbox One X PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds Bundle and the Xbox One S Minecraft Bundle.

The $499 PUBG Xbox One X Bundle has a download code for PUBG and one-month trial passes for Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass. Meanwhile, the $299 Minecraft Xbox One S Bundle has a download code for Minecraft, a code for Season One of Minecraft: Story Mode – The Complete Adventure, a one-month Xbox Game Pass trial pass, and a two-week Xbox Live Gold trial pass.

Both bundles feature the standard console and controller color schemes with no added styling specific to their respective games.

Netflix is Now More Popular Than Broadcast, Cable and YouTube for TV Viewing, Survey Says

A survey of 2,500 U.S. adults has revealed that Netflix is the No. 1 TV viewing option.

According to Variety, the Cowen Group, a financial service company, asked individuals "Which platforms do you use most often to view video content on TV?" With 27% of the vote, Netflix was the clear winner, followed by basic cable at 20%.

The results get more interesting when you look at the data from adults in the 18-34 age bracket, where the disparity is even greater. Here is a complete list of the preferred video content platforms from the survey below, adults 18-34 years of age.
