Walking Dead Hits New Low in Series Ratings
The Walking Dead’s ratings continue to slide as last Sunday’s episode hit the lowest ratings the series has ever seen in its key demographic.
Reported by Variety, “The Bridge,” episode 2 of Season 9, brought in 4.9 million total viewers and scored a 2.0 Nielsen rating in adults 18-49 - a demographic that’s of major interest for advertisers. The previous low came all the way back in Season 1 hitting a 2.4 in this demographic. Its current lowest total viewership still stands at 4.7 million viewers from Season 1.
Using both measures of viewership, “The Bridge” dropped by about 20% in ratings from the Season 9 premiere, which also set record lows for the show. It had the lowest turnout in the key adults 18-49 demographic for a Walking Dead season premiere, and the lowest total viewers since the Season 1 premiere. Still, though these ratings are relatively low for the show, it only ranked behind Sunday Night Football in this key demographic for the night.

Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is ‘Next Level Dark,’ Says Kiernan Shipka
If you grew up in the '90s and had a passing knowledge of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, chances are you were probably obsessed with Salem Saberhagen, the snarky cat (voiced by Nick Bakay) who stole every scene he appeared in, despite generally appearing as a rather stiff looking puppet. In Netflix's new Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, the kitty isn't quite as chatty (at least in the series premiere) and so far has no credited voice actor.
But in a new behind-the-scenes featurette released by Netflix, we do get a hint of what the character might sound like if he does decide to start communicating with our teen heroine - and much like the new iteration of the series, it's a little more chilling than comedic.
