Ghastly New Character Teased for Killer Instinct
A ghastly figure has made an appearance in the latest Killer Instinct trailer.
Although it's an announcement trailer for the new character Aganos, a ghost-like female with dark hair, translucent skin, and a large knife walks slowly across a bleak, bone-covered environment before turning and facing the camera with a bloody shriek near the 2:10 mark.
No formal announcement about her has yet been made, but this appears to be an entirely new character for the Xbox One free-to-play fighting game.
Killer Instinct has been confirmed as one of the games in the fighting game tournament EVO 2015. It joins several other notable fighting games, including Mortal Kombat X, Tekken 7, and Super Smash Bros. Read IGN's review of Killer Instinct to learn more.

Nevertheless, it prevailed and went on to become a coveted series for kids and adults alike, even leading an acclaimed sequel series as well, The Legend of Korra.

Steven Spielberg is reportedly interested in directing an Indiana Jones reboot with Chris Pratt taking up the mantle of the whip-cracking archaeologist.
While the project is in the earliest stages of development, Spielberg’s interest appears to hinge on landing a suitable script, according to Deadline.
Last month, it was reported that Pratt, best known for his role as Star-Lord in Marvel’s cosmic blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy, could replace Harrison Ford in an Indiana Jones reboot.
Mission: Impossible 5 Halts Filming to Alter Ending?
Paramount Pictures reportedly halted production in London on Mission: Impossible V for a week so the film's ending could be reworked.
"Director Christopher McQuarrie was given the extra time to work out a new and improved finale with a writer friend whose identity remains a mystery and who will neither be paid nor credited," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The trade cites an unnamed studio insider who said that "'Chris, Tom
and a third person wanted to take a minute to get from what they thought was a good place to a more perfect place,' says this person, noting that if the studio had been really concerned, it would not have moved up the release date
Big Bird Stars in a Birdman Parody
With the Oscars taking place this Sunday, Oscar-nominated Birdman has received a Sesame Street parody.
Mashable and Sesame Street have teamed up to re-imagine Birdman as Big Birdman. Caroll Spinney, the man Sesame Street performer who has been the puppeteer and voice of Big Bird for 45 years, is the Michael Keaton character, attempting to navigate his life with his own iconic character, Big Bird, murmuring in his ear.
Birdman is nominated for Best Picture, which IGN predicts it will win. Actors Michael Keaton, Edward Norton, and Emma Stone are nominated for their roles in the film, while director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu is also nominated.
5 Cool Combat Moves in Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae
John Cena's not the only one with 5 moves of doom.
While combing through the latest Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae footage, we noticed at least five slick moves Noctis is able to pull off in combat. Though we've seen a couple of these before in teaser trailers, it's great to know we'll be able to experience them when the demo (which is included in pre-orders of Final Fantasy: Type-0) becomes available March 17th. Check out the list below to see why Noctis is a formidable enemy in battle.
9:23 Jump! - During combat, we see Noctis LAUNCH himself into the air and come crashing back down, taking out a beast with a sick looking hit. This maneuver confirms the "jump" ability will be in Final Fantasy XV.
Avengers 2: Whedon on Ultron’s Powers, Quicksilver/Scarlet Witch Origin
Joss Whedon has offered some insight into the abilities of Ultron, the villainous robot in the upcoming Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Speaking to Empire, Whedon revealed he toyed around with Ultron's abilities, saying, “The powers in comic books – they’re always like, ‘And then I can reverse the polarity of your ions!’ – well, we have to ground things a lot more. With Ultron, we have to make him slightly less omnipotent because he’d win. Bottom line."
He continued, "Also, having weaknesses and needs and foibles and alliances and actually caring what people think of him, all these things, are what make him a character and not just a tidal wave. A movie about a tidal wave can be great, but it’s different than a conflict between one side and the other. When Ultron speaks, he has a point. He is really not on top of the fact that the point he’s making has nothing to do with the fact that he’s banoonoos. And that he hates the Avengers for bringing him into this world, and he can’t really articulate that or even understand how much he hates humanity. He thinks he’s all that. That guy is very fun to write. He combines all the iconic stuff. The powers he has are slightly different – he can control certain things, he’s not just firing repulsors.”
Settlers of Catan Movie or TV Show Might Be Happening
Producer Gail Katz (Air Force One, The Perfect Storm) has secured the the film and television rights to the multiplayer strategy game The Settlers of Catan, according to Deadline.

Katz said in a statement: “I’ve been wanting to see an adaptation of the game for years, ever since my Catan-obsessed college-aged kids introduced me to it. The island of Catan is a vivid, visual, exciting and timeless world with classic themes and moral challenges that resonate today. There is a tremendous opportunity to take what people love about the game and its mythology as a starting point for the narrative.”
