Life is Strange Episode 2 Has Been Delayed

UPDATE: Dontnod Entertainment has spoken about the reported delay, assuring that Life is Strange Episode 2 is "on track." However, this does not explain whether or not the release will be slightly later than the originally-planned six-week release cycle. IGN has reached out to Square Enix for clairification.

The second episode of Dontnod Entertainment's interactive drama Life is Strange has been delayed.

Square Enix confirmed the delay with IGN, saying that "development is on track and we’re looking to release it before the end of March."

This is How GTA 5 Will Look on PC

Rockstar has release 14 new hi-res screens for the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V, showing the refinement and subtle touches to the graphical presentation of the upcoming release.

The screens paint a variety of locations across Lo Santos, in the wilderness, through the city, on golf courses and on the waterfront. The screens show finer detail and richer textures than earlier incarnations, and creative touches that present the upcoming release's graphical standards:

The PC version of GTA V was recently delayed again, this time until April 14 for both digital and retail. Rockstar said this was a decision made to ensure the game's quality at release, and that anyone who pre-orders before March 31 will receive an extra $300,000 of in-game cash; that's on top of the existing pre-order bonus.

Part Two of TERA’s Fate of Arun Patch is Released

Gameforge and Bluehole Studio have released the second part of the Fate of Arun content patch.

This patch focuses on flight, allowing guilds to fight over flying, upgradeable and limited guild fortresses. These can be customised using guild points, and merchants can be placed in the grounds for use by heroes.

The new instance is in the sky too. Sky Cruiser Endeavor flies over Arborea and offers two difficulty modes to high level characters. Some may recognise the airship as the one that brought you to the new continent.

Bathysmal Rise - the instance added in the previous patch - has been given a hard mode, upping the difficulty but also the reward. In addition, the Channelworks makes a return, adjusted to be appropriate for the new maximum level.

Final Fantasy 15 Marks the Start of a Realistic New Chapter

Hajima Tabata isn’t your typical Square Enix game director. Where many of the mysterious figures behind the Japanese developer’s biggest hits are lofty and stoic, comfortable in their credentials, or shy and reserved, Tabata is boisterous and likeable. From cracking jokes to asking me what it is I like most about the series, he’s lighting up the room from the moment I enter, effusively putting me at ease with his enthusiasm.

Tabata personality is a stark contrast from  his first major game in the series, 2011’s Final Fantasy Type-0, which is easily one of the darkest we’ve ever seen. Within minutes of the opening credits we’ve seen a wounded woman scream as she burns alive, while a Chocobo is shot at point-blank range. That such an apparently well-adjusted and cheery man could come up with such a scenario seems incongruous… at first. After a few minutes of speaking with him, however, all becomes clear. This isn’t a man who celebrates darkness; this is one who’s keenly focused on the beauty of life.

New MMO Crowfall Hits $800K Kickstarter Target in 4 Days

Fresh MMO Crowfall has managed to hit its Kickstarter target of $800,000 in under four days, currently sitting on $803, 969.

As a result of its wild success, developer ArtCraft has now revealed a couple of stretch goals should the funds continue to pour in. With 27 days still to go, it's likely they may need more before they're through.

Should funding pass the $1 million mark, ArtCraft plans to hire a dedicated FX artist to make the spell effects present in the game look that much better. It'll also enable the current 3D character artist, who's been moonlighting as an FX designer due to the team's small size, to refocus his attention on the game's models. This means the Centaur race, which is currently only available in male form, will get a female version too.
