The Flash: Exec Producer Suggests Flashpoint Adaptation

The Flash's executive producer Andrew Kreisberg may have let some big news slip during this weekend's PaleyFest panels in Los Angeles, where he hinted at a Flashpoint adaptation.

Deadline reports that, after a fan asked if upcoming plot points on the show would delve even deeper in DC Comics lore, Kreisberg answered, “There’s a fairly big Flash storyline from the comics that were going to tackle in the future.”

It's likely Kreisberg is referring to Flashpoint, a five-issue miniseries that altered DC Comics entire lineup and timeline back in 2011. In the miniseries, Barry Allen's deceased mother is now alive, and his father never framed for her murder. Superpower factions also exist in the DC universe, keeping it in a near-constant state of war.

Cinderella Enjoys Majestic Debut at Box Office

Disney's live-action retelling of their animated classic Cinderella was the belle of the box office ball this weekend, debuting in first place with an estimated $70.1 million.

If weekend estimates hold then that opening is slightly ahead of last year's Maleficent ($69.4 million), which was also a live-action take on an animated Disney classic (in that case Sleeping Beauty).

Worldwide, Cinderella made $132.1 million with a stellar $25 million from China alone. This was director Kenneth Branagh's biggest opening of all time, even more so than Thor ($65.7 million). Cinderella's overhaul performance is also notable when considering it was not in 3D, which charges higher ticket prices.

Kirkman: Walking Dead Spinoff Show Won’t Stay a Prequel

AMC's Walking Dead spinoff/prequel series, starring Kim Dickens and Cliff Curtis, won't be a prequel the entire time, creator Robert Kirkman remarked at a "Creative Activism" panel at SXSW on Saturday.

Walking Dead Companion Show (Already) Picked Up for Season 2

As reported by EW.com, Kirkman stated that the new series is "not going to relate to the comics at all. From the beginning of the show one thing we’ve heard is, ‘What’s going on over here or there.’ So the intent of the new show is to expand that world and show another corner of the United States and what’s happening there."

Kelly Brook Talks One Big Happy and Naked Hugs

English model and actress Kelly Brook has appeared in American TV and film projects like Smallville and Piranha 3D, but she’s making her first foray into a US network sitcom with NBC’s new series, One Big Happy, premiering Tuesday.

Produced by Ellen DeGeneres and created by Liz Feldman, the comedy tells the story of Lizzy (Elisha Cuthbert), a lesbian whose best friend, Luke (Nick Zano), has agreed to have a baby with her. However, just as Lizzy gets pregnant, Luke meets the woman of his dreams, Prudence (Brook), leading to the three living together in an unorthodox scenario.

I spoke to Brook about why she felt this was a perfect role for her, how she made comedic use of her famous figure in the role and more – including a brief foray into Piranha 3D, which I happen to thoroughly enjoy. I should also mention this interview took place during an NBC press event in January, hence a mention of Adam Scott (there for Parks and Recreation) being present.
