The Ring Prequel Photos Revealed
We've got our first (eerie) look at Rings, the upcoming prequel to The Ring.
Straight from director F. Javier Gutierrez's (The Crow reboot, Before the Fall) Instagram account, here are some suitably creepy pre-production photos from the upcoming horror prequel:
33 Marvel Comics Will Be Cancelled for Secret Wars
Marvel Comics will be ending 33 of their comic books due to the arrival of Secret Wars this May, according to an interview comicbook.com conducted with David Gabriel, Marvel's SVP of Sales & Marketing.
We already know that Secret Wars will bring the Marvel Universe to an end, and that Battleworld will be the setting of the new Marvel U going forward -- presumably until the end of Secret Wars this Fall -- but it's been a point of confusion as to what will happen to all of the current comics.
"There will be a number of titles reaching, what we’re calling, a '616 finale,' ending those stories and characters as you knew them – for now," Gabriel said. "Now in a perfect world, we’d have stopped every book with its April issue, putting out a nice clean May Previews catalog. Everyone would have seen upfront all those titles that had their finale, and all those titles that were starting fresh. But things don’t always go so easily. Instead we gave our creators the option to end their stories the way they wanted to; we let them tell "Last Days" stories if they wanted to; we let them tell 'Secret Wars' stories if they wanted to. So in the end 'Secret Wars' truly has been a creative driven process."
Terminator 2 Inspired This New 3-D Printing Process
A new technology significantly increases 3-D printing speeds, and it was inspired by an iconic scene from Terminator 2.
Just as the T-1000 robot rose from a puddle of metallic alloys in James Cameron's action classic, Carbon3D's innovation creates objects from a pool of resin. Unlike current 3-D printing processes, which slowly build an object layer by layer, Carbon3D's tech creates objects 25-100 percent faster than current tech on the market, according to a study published in Science.
Batman Eternal’s Mystery Villain Revealed
Warning: this article contains spoilers for Batman Eternal #50!
With DC's Batman Eternal comic wrapping up at the end of this month, the time has finally come to reveal the mystery villain that has been pulling the strings of the Bat family and many of Gotham's most iconic villains for the past year. Today, Batman Eternal #50 revealed the identity of the master villain who was tormenting the Caped Crusader in issue #1's flash forward sequence.
As it turns out, it wasn't a big gun like Penguin, Ra's al Ghul, Hush, Bane or any of the other iconic rogues appearing in Batman Eternal over the past year. Instead, it was Cluemaster.
The Flash: Captain Cold and Heat Wave Return

Microsoft Launches Xbox Music Integration with OneDrive
Starting today, you can upload your own music files to Microsoft's cloud service, OneDrive, and stream the tracks via Xbox Music. The process seems fairly simple, and will allow you to add music which may not otherwise be available on Microsoft's streaming platform.
Rumors of cloud integration with Xbox Music popped up last year, when the feature was allegedly named OneDrive Music Locker. While there's no mention of that particular title, the concept is essentially the same.
Here’s What’s Leaving Netflix in April
Here's your official "last call" for these Netflix titles, which will be expiring from the site in April.
So if you've got a strong hankering for the Karate Kid trilogy or the Friday the 13th franchise, you better get to streamin'.

Life is Strange Dev ‘Can’t Do Much More’ About Lip-Synching
Developer Dontnod is aware of the reported lip synching issues in its episodic series Life is Strange, but claims there's not much they can do about it.
"To be completely honest we can't do much more for Life is Strange, season one," co-director Michel Koch said in an interview with Eurogamer. "We decided when we started the game that most of the budget should go towards the writing and voice actors - they were really what was important.
"We had to make some decisions and the way we have our character models doesn't allow us to do much more than we have. We know this is a weak point but I think that it still works. The first reaction is - ok, I see that - but most players in the end don't really care."
What in the World is the Meerkat App?
If you've been reading any kind of news (or your Twitter feed), you may have been wondering why everyone's been talking about a small, furry mammal as of late. But the Meerkat in question isn't a fuzzy animal native to Africa; it's a livestreaming app that launched March 10th and gained traction thanks to buzz at SXSW.
How does it work? Meerkat connects your phone camera to your Twitter feed; once you've installed the app, you type in a status and hit the "stream" button—and just like that, a link goes out to your Twitter followers with live video from wherever it is you're pointing the camera.
The hope behind the app is that it (and others like it) will expand the reach of citizen journalism. At the moment, when events happen in the world, they're tweeted and hashtagged, and people can follow along on Facebook and Twitter. By also using an streaming app like Meerkat, broadcasters can share what they're seeing as it unfolds. Things like riots and protests could be viewed in real-time without any form of private or governmental filters.
