Raven Software Teases More Singularity
Raven Software has tweeted a mysterious image that could hint at the future of Singularity.
The tweet reads "We're going back," followed by the hashtag #Katorga12 -- a reference to the Russian island that served as the setting of Singularity. It also included the image below.
If you're unfamiliar, Singularity was a Raven-developed first-person shooter released in 2010. Its story dealt with time travel, and the player could "rewind" objects. For example, a broken staircase could be made new again in seconds.
‘Super-Stable 3D’ Nearly Killed New 3DS
One of the most important features of Nintendo's new 3DS is the eye-tracking tech that helps the system compute how to trick your brain into seeing three dimensions on a flat screen. According to Nintendo President Satoru Iwata it also came close to making sure the new version of the handheld never saw daylight.
In fact, super-stable 3D wasn't originally intended for this iteration of the 3DS. It wasn't until Shigeru Miyamoto got his hands on the new prototype that the feature became a make-or-break component. Before then, the team behind the 3DS felt pretty certain their design was in the final stages of prototyping when the legendary developer picked it up.
"But Mr. Miyamoto had seen that super-stable 3D just one week before, and he asked 'Why aren’t we putting that in this system? If we don’t put this in it, there’s no point in making the system.'" Iwata told TIME. It took a lot of convincing the engineers, but Nintendo managed to push out a revised version of the 3DS that included super-stable 3D, and Iwata says it made him glad for his education in technology.
Iwata Thinks ‘Free to Play’ Is Insincere
Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata thinks the term "free to play" doesn't accurately reflect the pay-model it describes. He believes a more sincere label for the model would be "free to start."
"I have come to realize that there is a degree of insincerity to consumers with this terminology," Iwata told Time. However, Iwata added that he has no intention to deny the model as a possible moneymaker.
Iwata said that Nintendo places importance on maintaining the value of its content, and understands how fragile that value can be. "There is the high possibility for the value to be greatly reduced," Iwata said, pointing to the history of the music industry as an example.

According to Iwata, Nintendo's most successful products are ones that unite groups of people to play together and have conversations about the game.
Here’s What’s Included in Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition
New information on Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition has just been revealed by Capcom.
In addition to improved graphics, which run in 1080p at 60 frames-per-second, Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition will feature new playable characters, with Dante's brother Vergil and Trish joining Nero and the iconic red-cloaked demon slayer. Capcom is also adding Lady, who can be swapped out with Nero during the campaign.
This remastered port of the action-heavy title that first launched back on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 in 2008 is slated for release this summer and will be available as a digital download.
On top of that, Legendary Dark Knight Mode, a wave-based horde mode which was only available in the original PC release of DMC4, will be included in this re-release as well. And if that weren't enough, Capcom is also throwing in a batch of new costumes and skins, which will be reflected in the in-game cutscenes.

A source close to IGN Italy let the bat out of the bag, saying the two games will be part of a remastered collection in time for the holidays.
Last week, Sony announced a remastered version of God of War III will be coming to PS4, and Microsoft brought the original Halo series into the current generation with the Master Chief Collection.
The Batman games are certainly rich material for the remastered treatment. We gave Batman: Arkham Asylum a 9.3 in our review, and Batman: Arkham City scored a 9.5.

Batman: Arkham Knight Release Date Delayed
Batman: Arkham Knight has been delayed and will now be available worldwide on June 23.
The news comes courtesy of the game's official Twitter, and marks a three-week delay from the previously-announced launch date of June 2.
No reasons have been given for the delay as yet, but it's not the first time we've seen Rocksteady and Warner Bros. push the release date back. Originally planned for release on October 14 last year, the game was delayed until 2015 back in June. The news of today's release date confirms the game has been delayed by around eight months.
