Rumor: X-Files Revival Deal is Getting Close

The rumored X-Files revival will reportedly be a short run, at least at the start.

TVWise cites anonymous sources claiming that Fox is planning on a short episode order of less than ten. The network's decision is said to be based on story considerations, along with fitting into the busy schedules of stars Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny.

The report states that talks are ongoing, so this isn't set in stone, but indicate a deal is close. Scheduling is one remaining factor, which is reliant on the show officially being picked up. The network is reportedly aiming to start production this summer.

Hearthstone Player Taking 40-Hour Turn

A Hearthstone player is attempting to take a turn that will, in theory, last almost two days.

Player "Mamytwink" came up with a complicated bit of theory-crafting and put it into motion on a Twitch stream. He's eight hours into his Guinness World Record attempt right now, and estimates it will take roughly 40 hours to fully resolve the turn.

So how did he do it? Eurogamer reports that he played as a Mage, with a cooperative friend playing Priest across the board. Mamytwink set up his side of the board with seven Prophet Velen cards, using several Faceless Manipulators. Each Velen doubles the damage of spells, and then each Velen was given further buffs to increase the spell damage even further.

Confirmed: Game of Thrones Will Spoil the Books

Game of Thrones showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff have confirmed that the HBO hit will begin to spoil the A Song of Ice and Fire book series, and inevitably wrap-up before the finale volume is written by creator George R.R. Martin.

Speaking to the Oxford Union (via Vanity Fair), Benioff explained, "Luckily, we've been talking about this with George for a long time, ever since we saw this could happen, and we know where things are heading. And so we'll eventually, basically, meet up at pretty much the same place where George is going; there might be a few deviations along the route, but we're heading towards the same destination. I kind of wish that there were some things we didn't have to spoil, but we're kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place. The show must go on... and that's what we're going to do."

While the previously announced closed alpha is only available to PC players, the beta will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, in addition to PC. You can pre-order Rainbow Six Siege for a guaranteed spot in the beta, or you can sign up on Ubisoft's website to be placed on the waiting list. As with the closed alpha, signing up requires a valid Uplay account.

While it's unknown when the closed beta will take place, the wait shouldn't be too long, as Ubisoft already confirmed Rainbow Six Siege is coming this year.
