Here’s When You Can Play Godzilla on PS4

Godzilla the Game will be coming to PlayStation 3 and PS4 on July 14, Bandai Namco Games has just announced.

In addition to the launch date reveal, the Japanese publisher also pulled back the curtain on an assortment of monsters that will be making their way into the game, including Jet Jaguar, Mecha Godzilla, Destroyah, King Ghidorah, and Gigan. Plus, those on PS4 will get Space Godzilla as a platform exclusive.

And that's not the only thing unique to the PlayStation 4 version, as those on Sony's new-gen console will be able to battle with three monsters instead of just two. Fans of the old films will also be pleased to know the game will include plenty of nods to the movie franchise from which it draws inspiration.

Indie Dev Wants More Human WWII Games

Ori and the Blind Forest creator Thomas Mahler is disappointed with the way video games handle World War II and hopes to do something about that with one of his next projects.

Mahler's idea for a "Schindler's List for games" is simply called Project Memoir, which he describes in an interview with GamesIndustry.biz as an "extremely controversial" and "story-based game" rooted in true events outside the World War II battlefield.

In the interview, Mahler highlighted what he refers to as the "embarrassing" treatment of World War II in video games.

"There are so many World War II games coming out, and every single one misses the boat on the really interesting things you can tell here, super-fascinating things in terms of human psychology, the history of mankind, and so on," said Mahler. "And every single game was just about, well, shoot some Nazis. It's just stupid."

Oldsmobile 1990s Concept Car Had a NES Built Into It

An Oldsmobile concept car in the early 90s had a built-in Nintendo Entertainment System.

Jalopnik reports that the Oldsmobile Expression was shown off at the 1990 Chicago Auto Show. It appears similar to a standard station wagon, if a bit on the bulky side. That's due to the bucket seats in the rear, which faced a TV with a built-in NES. In case Mario wasn't enough to keep the kids entertained, the car also sported a VCR built into the same console.
