The Mummy Reboot Delayed by Almost a Year
The Mummy reboot has been delayed from June 24, 2016 to March 24, 2017 (in North America).
A press release from Universal Pictures also updated the release date for 'Untitled Universal Monster Franchise Film' from April 21, 2017 to March 30, 2018 (again, in North America).
Given the untitled monsters film is an Avengers-style team-up, which appears to be reliant on a certain number of preceding films, the impact of The Mummy movie's delay appears to have unsurprisingly shifted the monster mash-up.

A 4-Minute Chat With the Fantastic Four
The quartet of stars of Fantastic Four were on hand at CinemaCon today to promote 20th Century Fox's movie reboot of Marvel's first family of superheroes.
I sat down with actors Miles Teller (Reed Richards), Kate Mara (Sue Storm), Michael B. Jordan (Johnny Storm), and Jamie Bell (Ben Grimm) to briefly discuss the film. (It was a seriously short interview due to their schedule; fittingly enough, it ran exactly four minutes!)
IGN: We're now seeing more and more footage, and the thing I'm responding to is that old-school body horror thing. I'm wondering, because in the past Fantastic Four films -- with the exception of the Thing -- they kind of gloss over like, "Oh, these things happened to us," and they go on with the adventure. How much horror is in the movie and how much are your characters reacting to these, in some ways, horrible things that have happened to them?
Bungie is Phasing Out Destiny Commendations
Bungie will be phasing out Commendations along with the other changes to progression economy that are rolling out with Update 1.2.0 when the House of Wolves expansion hits.
Commendations are special currencies earned through levelling up Vanguard Commendation or Crucible ranks that are used to buy new weapons or gear on occasion.
“Essentially, they’re going away,” Bungie's Community Manager David Dague writes in the Weekly Update. “You'll no longer need them to acquire new weapons or gear. If you have a bunch of them stockpiled, you can burn them for reputation. Gaining reputation will speed you toward your next promotion, thus earning you another reward package. To prosper and equip yourself with new stuff, just earn Marks!”
Green Day: Rock Band Export Offer Expires Soon
Harmonix has offered a warning to Rock Band junkies via its official forum that the export offer for Green Day: Rock Band will only be available until April 30. If you own Green Day: Rock Band and want the tracks from the game to be available in your main Rock Band library (and haven’t exported them in the past five years) you should act now, lest you feel like a chump later.
As with previous disc exports and the small minority of DLC songs Harmonix has been unable to re-secure licensing for, players who have already exported Green Day: Rock Band will be completely unaffected. The tracks will remain in your central Rock Band song library for you to continue having a blast with.
Pacific Rim 2 Release Date Pushed
Following on from the news that Universal's Warcraft movie is facing a delay, the studio also announced Pacific Rim 2 will be pushed back by a handful of months.
The sequel to 2013's robots vs aliens movie was originally set to debut on April 7, 2017, and will now open August 4, 2017.
Director Guillermo del Toro has said that the film will follow on from the events of the first movie, focusing on original heroes Raleigh (Charlie Hunnam) and Mako (Rinko Kikuchi), and lead into a third film.
“The characters I love will return,” del Toro said last June. “Raleigh, Mako, Newt, Gottlieb and who knows, maybe even Hannibal Chau – but we are taking them into a fresh territory that will display amazing sights and battles. The first film set the stage and now we’re ready to have a blast.”
Is The Silver Mario Amiibo Part of Wave 4?
An employee of the Oregon-based Fred Meyer retail chain noticed the legendary Silver Mario amiibo was in the store's point of sale system with a sale date of May 29, the same day as the rest of the Wave 4 amiibo.
Reddit user ValtriusXIII made the discovery and then posted a photo of the store's POS computer to the amiibo subreddit. This naturally set the amiibo hunters into overdrive, and soon verified Target employees and members of /r/amiibo were able to sniff out the silver statuette in Target's system as well.
Universal Shows Off Jurassic World, Minions & Ted 2
Universal Pictures offered CinemaCon attendees Thursday a look ahead at the studio's slate of future movies, from talking teddy bears to killer dinosaurs.
Director Colin Trevorrow and star Chris Pratt presented a sizzle reel (or, as Pratt called it, "just the tip") from Jurassic World. The footage showcased the sheer terror of the genetically engineered Indominus Rex as its preys not only on humans at the park but also other dinosaurs.
We saw much more of the Indominus Rex than has so far been released as well as many shots of it killing people (usually in one big, lunging gulp). We also saw more of Owen Grady's (Pratt) Raptor Whisperer skills when he rescued a worker who fell into a raptor pit. Most of the other footage was a reworking of what we've thus far seen in the trailers.
Arrow/Flash Spinoff Casts Edge of Tomorrow Actor
Edge of Tomorrow actor Franz Drameh has been cast as a character named "Jay Jackson" in the upcoming Arrow/Flash spinoff.
As described in The CW's announcement, Jackson is "a former high school athlete, whose pro-career was derailed by injury. Now making ends meets as an auto mechanic, Jay will come to have a surprising affiliation to the S.T.A.R. Labs crew."
Jackson doesn't look on the surface to be an existing character from the comics, but the description bares a close resemblance to Vic Stone aka Cyborg. In Geoff Johns and Jim Lee's 2011 revamp of the Justice League, they gave Vic a very similar origin -- making the character a high school football prodigy that gets "injured", and later becomes infused with S.T.A.R. Labs' tech.
Warcraft Movie Delayed
The Warcraft live-action feature film has been delayed from its original March 11, 2016 release date to June 10, 2016 (in North America).
Based on the Blizzard Entertainment universe of the same name, Warcraft is described as "a 3D epic adventure of world-colliding conflict". Duncan Jones (Moon) is directing the Warcraft movie, based on a script he wrote with Charles Leavitt, and stars Ben Foster (Lone Survivor), Dominic Cooper (Need for Speed), Travis Fimmel (Vikings) and Toby Kebbell (RocknRolla).
