Director David Ayer has tweeted out a photo of the assembled Suicide Squad.

The photo depicts (from left to right) Slipknot (?)* (Adam Beach), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Enchantress (Cara Delevingne), Katana (Karen Fukuhara), Rick Flagg (Joel Kinnaman), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Deadshot (Will Smith), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) and El Diablo (Jay Hernandez). Ayer dropped the photo with the sentence "Task Force X assembled and ready'.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens Merchandise Arrives Soon

It's as if millions of wallets suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced by pre-orders...

StarWars.com has set an official release date and time for Star Wars: The Force Awakens merchandise: September 4, 2015 at 12:01am -- or "#ForceFriday," as they're calling it. That night at midnight, stores around the world will open their doors for a celebration of all things Star Wars.

A new Star Wars: The Force Awakens cast photo surfaced today, featuring stars Harrison Ford (Han Solo), John Boyega (Finn), Daisy Ridley (Rey), as well as Chewbacca and BB-8, chilling on the Millennium Falcon. Check out the preview image below:

Avengers 2 Has Second-Biggest Debut of All Time

Although it couldn't meet the fevered expectations that it would open larger than its 2012 predecessor, Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron enjoyed the second-biggest opening of all time at the domestic box office this weekend.

Marvel's The Avengers still holds the record with a $207.4 million bow, followed by Age of Ultron with an estimated $187.7 million.

Avengers 2 outperformed Iron Man 3's opening ($174.1 million) to bump that to third place on the list of the biggest opening weekends of all time at the North American box office. Yes, Marvel Studios owns the top three spots on that list (at least until Star Wars: The Force Awakens, another Disney release, undoubtedly  knocks one of them out of there come December.)

Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass Detailed

WB Games has detailed the Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass and Batgirl will make her first appearance in the series as a playable character.

In response to a bit of controversy over the pricing and lack of information for the season pass, the developer revealed on the Arkham Knights forums that players will be able to take on Batgirl in an all-new prequel story. The first piece of artwork was also shown, as seen below.

Yooka-Laylee Fastest Kickstarter Game Project to $1 Million

Yooka-Laylee has become the fastest video game project to hit $1 million USD on Kickstarter.

It took six hours for the Playtonic Games' spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie to accomplish the feat, beating the previous Kickstarter record of seven hours held by Torment: Tides of Numenara, as spotted by a NeoGAF poster.

To date, the Yooka-Laylee Kickstarter campaign has earned over $1.3 million USD, with 44 days to go.

By comparison, the Veronica Mars movie raised $1 million in 4 hours and 24 minutes and the Pebble Time hit the same dollar amount in just 30 minutes, according to Statista, an online statistics portal.

Rare Reportedly Announcing a New Game at E3

Rare is reportedly ready to announce to announce its next game at E3.

A NeoGAF user spotted a conversation on Rare Creative Director Simon Woodroffe’s Twitter feed in which he seems to confirm that Gregg Mayles’ new project will be unveiled at E3. Mayles is a designer at Rare who has worked on the Donkey Kong Country trilogy, Banjo-Tooie, and Viva Pinata over the years.

Second-Edition Villager Amiibo Features New Look

Nintendo will be releasing a second run of its Villager amiibo for those in Japan, and the first images of the reprinted figurine have surfaced online.

According to the photos, which first appeared on Reddit and were subsequently discovered by My Amiibo News, this new rendition of the Villager has more rounded, lower-set eyes. You can compare the two (original on the left, reprint on the right) in the side-by-side shot below.
