Bungie Raised Over $400k for Nepal Relief in 1 Week

Together with the Destiny community, developer Bungie raised over $400,000 to aid in disaster relief funds for Nepal.

This amount was gathered over the course of one week from the sale of t-shirts and will be donated to Direct Relief, an organization helping with medical treatment in the disaster-torn Kathmandu region.

Bungie has pledged $15 for every shirt sold up to $50,000 between now and Wednesday, May 13. With this, they hope to raise an additional $100,000 in relief funds.

They aren't the first video game company to raise money toward Nepal relief, as Ubisoft also launched a campaign pledging to match the donations to the Canadian Red Cross up to $100,000.

Here’s When Destiny’s House of Wolves DLC Goes Live

Bungie has revealed when its upcoming House of Wolves DLC will go live for Destiny players.

On Tuesday, May 19, "sometime" after 10am PT, Destiny players can expect to dive into House of Wolves' new content, including the Prison of Elders. If you're one of Destiny's 20 million players around the world, here are the times you need to watch for.

  • After 10:00am PT
  • After 1:00pm ET
  • After 6:00pm GMT
  • After 3:00 am AEST on May 20

Before the time comes, there will be another update on May 12 for patch 1.2.0, which Bungie says includes "final preparation and world changes." Destiny's patch 1.2.0 notes were reportedly leaked yesterday.

Myst Television Series to Air on Streaming Service Hulu

The previously-announced television adaptation of Myst has finally found a home.

Produced by Matt Tolmach (The Amazing Spider-Man) and written by Brian Daugherty (Divergent, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), a script has been ordered for Myst, which Geek.com reports will then likely be made into a series.

Details about the actual plot remain unknown, although it's likely there will be some integration with the mysterious, exploration-based premise originally seen in the classic Myst PC games.

Star Wars, Marvel Will Present at Disney’s D23 Expo

Disney has announced its lineup for this year's D23 Expo, and it will include a preview of the upcoming Marvel and Star Wars films.

The Disney fan event will take place August 14-16 at the Anaheim Convention Center. The Expo will kick off Friday with the Disney Legends Awards Ceremony hosted by Disney Chairman Bob Iger. After the ceremony, fans will get a sneak peak of Disney's upcoming slate from Disney Animation and Pixar.

On Saturday morning, D23 attendees will preview Disney's upcoming slate of live-action films, including those from Marvel and Lucasfilm. Undisclosed special guests will appear at the event.

Earlier this year, we heard rumors that Marvel would be skipping San Diego Comic-Con, which will take place a month before D23. At this point, it's not clear if Star Wars will go to Comic-Con either, given its participation in the Disney-backed conventions -- last month's Star Wars Celebration and D23.

Fear the Walking Dead Adds Mercedes Mason to Cast

666 Park Avenue and Quarantine 2: Terminal actress Mercedes Mason has joined the cast of AMC's upcoming The Walking Dead spinoff, Fear the Walking Dead.

There's no word on Mason's role at this time. According to Deadline, she'll be a series regular. The site also reports Rubén Blades (Predator 2) may play the father of Mason's character.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar Series Among New NBC Comedies

With Upfronts around the corner, NBC has begun to lock down their comedy slate by giving a green light to three new sitcoms. The network has still yet to renew any of last year's comedy series.

TVLine reports that NBC has ordered the Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Franklin & Bash, Saved by the Bell) led People Are Talking, workplace comedy Superstore, and family comedy Crowded. All three series come from NBC sibling Universal TV.

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood’s File Size is Over 30 GB

If you have plans to download Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, you may need to clear up some space on the hard drive of your console or PC.

The prequel to MachineGames' 2014 shooter, Wolfenstein: The Old Blood has a file size of 36.4 GB on PS4, 37.14 GB on Xbox One, and 38 GB on PC.

Comparatively, The New Order's file sizes were 43.7 GB, 43.27 GB, and 50 GB on PS4, Xbox One, and PC respectively.

Taking us back to Castle Wolfenstein, The Old Blood is a prequel to The New Order. It's available now as a digital download on all three platforms for $20 USD in North America and will also have a retail release in Europe.

Sideshow Collectibles is adding several new Batman figures to its growing DC lineup. The company recently revealed two new Premium Format Figures based on the video game Arkham Asylum and a new Batman Returns set from Hot Toys.
