Amazing Jon Snow Figure Revealed
Threezero has released images of its forthcoming Jon Snow figure.
The figure costs ¥20,800, which is around $160 or £110, and stands at 290mm in height, making it 1/6th in scale. In terms of a release date, it’ll be out in October of 2015 in Japan.
Interestingly, there’s currently a pre-order offer available on the Threezero store. If you pre-order the Jon Snow figure ahead of its release, you can upgrade to a deluxe version for $30 extra, which comes with Jon’s trusty albino direwolf Ghost.

Metal Gear Solid 5’s Soundtrack Needs These 13 Songs
Impressions from the bulk of Konami's recent two day preview event for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain are still under tight embargo, but members of the press were allowed to tease some of their thoughts about the first hour of game on social media. During this time, AP Entertainment writer Derrik J. Lang tweeted out that he'd come across a boombox in the game that was playing Kim Wilde's new wave pop hit "Kids in America."
It would stand to reason that one licensed song in a massive open-world video game might suggest more licensed music, and, given that The Phantom Pain is set in 1984, that the music would be from the same time period. Between my love of Metal Gear and music from the seventies and eighties, this seemed like the perfect chance to compile a Phantom Playlist -- which you can hear for yourself on YouTube or Spotify.

George Miller Was Thinking About a Female Mad Max in 1985
Imperator Furiosa was the break-out character in Mad Max: Fury Road, with Max himself at times taking a back-seat to Charlize Theron’s one-armed warrior. And in a 30-year-old interview that has been published for the first time today, it seems writer-director George Miller was trying to figure out how to work such a character into the universe back in 1985.
Speaking to Anne Bilson for a feature that was due to run in Time Out before being bumped in favour of an article about Orson Welles' death, Miller is asked if there could ever be a female version of Mad Max. His answer is long, complex, and enlightening:

XCOM 2 Announced
Last week, 2K teased us with a cryptic website: AdventFuture.org. On it, a supposedly utopian near-future government called the Advent Administration offered a better life for citizens through genetic enhancement, while hackers subversively replaced text and images revealing that Advent isn’t as benevolent as it seems.
Today, IGN First officially announces that the game 2K hinted at is in fact Firaxis Games’ XCOM 2, a full sequel to 2012’s critically acclaimed XCOM: Enemy Unknown and a continuation of the now 20-year-old legendary turn-based tactical squad combat series, which will be available exclusively on PC this November. Watch the debut trailer above for a glimpse into a future where the aliens are in control of the Earth, and XCOM has gone underground to fight to overthrow their Advent government. This new guerrilla force will face more powerful enemies in unpredictable combat scenarios as they fight to turn the tables on a technologically superior enemy.
Splatoon Gets New Mode, Map, and NES Zapper
Nintendo announced today that Splat Zones, a ranked battle mode, would unlock June 1 at 7 PM PT, along with a new map and weapon.
Back in March, Nintendo announced its plans for Ranked multiplayer in Splatoon, citing that the mode would unlock once enough players reached level 10. In Splat Zones, players battle over control of a single piece of turf on the map for a set amount of time. A team that holds the zone and burns down the control timer to zero is declared the winner.
Starting tonight players will be able to unlock the N-ZAP85, a tribute to the light gun peripheral called the Zapper for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Nintendo describes the N-ZAP85 as a "rapid-fire shooter with some impressive ink efficiency." It comes with a Splat Bombs and an Echo-locator special weapon.
