Epic Reveals New Oculus Game Bullet Train

During the Oculus Connect 2 livestream today, Epic Games revealed its new virtual reality shooter Bullet Train.

The game was introduced by Epic CEO and founder Tim Sweeney and introduces several mechanics to the first-person shooter that are designed around the virtual reality experience.

The two gameplay mechanics highlighted during the reveal were the teleportation ability and Bullet Train's bullet-time mechanic. Teleportation is done by pointing to a location in the world using the Oculus touch controller and teleporting there, something Oculus said makes Bullet Train a "world-scale VR" experience.

Bullet-time, a mechanic that is certainly not new, gets a new twist in Bullet Train. As the bullets from enemies get closer, you can slow time down and grab the bullets out of the air. From there, you can throw them back at your enemies.
