Kingsman’s Matthew Vaughn to Direct I Am Pilgrim
Kingsman: The Secret Service and Kick-Ass filmmaker Matthew Vaughn is set to direct I Am Pilgrim, based on the best-selling espionage thriller book.
MGM is developing the movie version of I Am Pilgrim. Vaughn is also producing the film and co-financing it through his production company Marv Films.
Vaughn had previously said he was open to directing the next installment of Kingsman, though he admitted he had a rule against helming sequels. Vaughn also had been linked to a Flash Gordon movie recently.
GTA Online Exploit Could Expose Game to Rampant Cheating
A new exploit for the PC version of Grand Theft Auto Online could allow previously banned players to return anonymously to the game, among other things.
According to a modder on the Se7enSins forums, temporary characters, which are created only "when 95% or more of server assets" are unavailable, aren't authenticated by the usual process, meaning GTA Online will "allow access to the temporary character functionality," without knowing the player is banned.
"You can create disposable characters, cheat cash and stats and troll other players as much as you'd like," modder LondonTown2004 explained. None of the actions taken by temporary characters will be logged or recorded, meaning it's "a way to play anonymously."
IGN’s Video Player Has Been Upgraded
One of the most frequent pieces of feedback we get from the IGN community is about our video player. It didn’t work perfectly for you all the time – and it didn’t work perfectly for us all the time, either. It’s a feature that we’re constantly working to improve. So for the better part of this year we’ve been hard at work on the IGN video player, both as a tool, and as an experience. And we’re happy to announce we’ve made some big progress with very noticeable improvements.
Without getting too technical, our old video player automatically scaled its resolution depending on your bandwidth. It allowed us to serve up 1080p video to most of you, but to do so we relied on a tiny bit of code that turned out to be very inefficient, especially for older less powerful computers. That code was the root cause of our playback problems for the past few months.

1TB Xbox One with Gears, Rare Replay, and Ori
Here's the most games I've seen bundled with a 1TB Xbox One. If you've been wanting an Xbox One with Gears, but didn't want that 500GB hard drive, then consider Rare Replay and Ori and the Blind Forest gravy. Note: Gears and Rare Replay are discs, Ori is a download.

Among the Sleep PS4 Release Date Revealed
Among the Sleep will come out December 10 on PlayStation 4.
Developer Krillbite Studio revealed the release date for the psychological horror game on the PlayStation Blog. Among the Sleep has players assuming the role of a 2-year-old, who has quite the imagination.
To bring the first-person horror game to PlayStation 4, Krillbite said Among the Sleep needed a bunch of technical work since the team moved from Unity 3 to Unity 5.2 for the console version. The developer also updated the audio and visuals, making sure the title runs at 60 frames per second.

The Stanley Parable Co-Creator to Launch New Game This Week
Those who liked the quirky and bizarre first-person game The Stanley Parable may have some interest in a new game coming out this week.
The Stanley Parable co-creator Davey Wreden is preparing to launch The Beginner's Guide, a so-called "narrative video game" coming to PC and Mac this Thursday, October 1. A teaser site for The Beginner's Guide reveals little more than the platforms and date on which it will release, as well as a graphic looking like a performer's vantage point onstage.
Some of the images in the gallery below show surrealistic environments and layouts, suggesting a dreamlike quality.
The Stanley Parable was one of 2013's breakout indie hits, starring the eponymous Stanley defying the commands of a cheeky narrator and exploring a large number of bizarre endings and developments inside an otherwise mundane office building. Read IGN's reivew of The Stanley Parable to learn more.
Twitch Beat Dark Souls
Last time we reported on Twitch Plays Dark Souls, they had defeated Ornstein and Smough. Now, after 43 days and 8 hours, a group of dedicated fans have managed to collaboratively beat Dark Souls using only Twitch-based chat commands. That's about 1,040 hours total, with 904 deaths.
For the Gwyn, Lord of Cinder boss fight, the player character wielded the Zweihander and the Greatshield of Artorias. (Yup, that means they beat Artorias. It's worth noting that they defeated Kalameet and Manus as well.)
They also had on the Black Iron Set (with the Butcher's Sack on their head), the Ring of Favor and Protection, and Flash Sweat activated for reduced fire damage active. Solaire was summoned as a co-op partner.
