George Miller Turned Down Live-Action Akira Film
Mad Max: Fury Road director George Miller has turned down helming the live-action Akira film.
Miller told Yahoo! Movies that while he was in talks for the Warner Bros. movie, he is no longer involved with the project.
"There was talk of it," he said, "But I’ve got so many things on my dance card, I don’t have the time to do everything."
He also debunked reports that he'd cited Akira as an influence on Fury Road.
"I don't know where that came from," he said. "I’m a huge fan of anime and the precision of that and to some degree Manga, even though I don’t read Japanese, but just the aesthetic of it. So Akira might have been one of the many movies but it certainly wasn’t one that directly influenced Mad Max."

Black Ops 3 Has a ‘Realistic’ Difficulty Mode
Call of Duty: Black Ops III reportedly contains a "Realistic" difficulty mode, serving as the hardest way to play the shooter.
Exophase has the trophy list for Black Ops III, which reveals the new hard mode for Treyarch's upcoming game. One trophy is even called No One Will Believe You, awarded for beating the shooter on Realistic.
This will mark the first time in the Call of Duty series that Veteran isn't the hardest setting. The other modes, in order of ascending difficulty, are Recruit, Regular and Hardened.
The Realistic option most likely won't show up in Black Ops III for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, since the shooter won't have a campaign on those platforms.

Star Wars Battlefront Won’t Have Microtransactions
Star Wars Battlefront will not feature a microtransaction system, according to developer DICE. In an interview with GameSpot, Battlefront Design Director Niklas Fegraeus said, "The credits that you use to buy things in the game are earned. You play the game, complete challenges, and that's how you get credits."
Fegraeus clarified that earning in-game currency by playing matches and completing challenges, and that's it. Paying for upgrades or currency is "not part of the core design of how it works," he said. "This is a progression system based on your gameplay performance."
