Back to the Future II Writer: Old Biff Based on Trump

Back to the Future Part II writer Bob Gale says he intended the bullying villain Biff Tannen to bear a resemblance to real estate mogul and current Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

"We thought about it when we made the movie! Are you kidding?" Gale told The Daily Beast. “You watch Part II again and there’s a scene where Marty confronts Biff in his office and there’s a huge portrait of Biff on the wall behind Biff, and there’s one moment where Biff kind of stands up and he takes exactly the same pose as the portrait? Yeah.”

In the movie, Biff misuses time travel to make himself wealthy by betting on sports events with a sure bet on the results. He uses it to become a gambling mogul and then segues into political action, complete with self-aggrandizing propaganda that plays in his own buildings calling him "America's greatest living folk hero."
