SNES Classic: Will Nintendo Learn From its Past Launch Mistakes?
I’m probably not the only old-school Nintendo fan with conflicting emotions today. On the one hand, the long-rumored/expected Super NES Classic was announced, and it sounds awesome! Two controllers, 21 games including several bona-fide all-time classics, and even the unreleased Star Fox 2. Yes!! On the other hand, Nintendo flat-out bungled the launch of the NES Classic, which was a gimme putt as far as system launches go. What should’ve been a uniting moment of universally celebrated nostalgia was instead a months-long slog of frustration, unceremoniously capped off by the quiet discontinuation of the NES Classic in April, assuring that many fans would never get their hands on the tiny trip down video game memory lane.

Total War: Warhammer 2 Aims to Bring Fantasy Tabletop Game To Life
Back in my tabletop gaming days, I sported an impressive war host of Wood Elves, complete with treemen and hawk riders. But what I never achieved with dice rolls and detailed paint jobs was the epic scale that the Warhammer lore seemed to demand. There was something lacking in my painted figurines and styrofoam set pieces.
That’s why the Total War series has been such a boon to Warhammer fans. Utilizing the units, locations, and lore of Warhammer’s high-fantasy universe, TW:W2 brings the deep strategy of the Warhammer series to a real-time strategy platform.
At E3, I was able to get a hands-on demo with a familiar scenario to Warhammer fans: the High Elves, in their arrogance, have messed with forces they should not have, and now have to deal with the perhaps-cataclysmic consequences.
Nintendo Confirms SNES Classic Controller Cord Length Is Longer than NES Classic’s
Nintendo has confirmed the length of the SNES Classic Edition controller's cord, revealing it will be longer than the often criticized length of the NES Classic Edition controller's.
In a statement provided to IGN, a Nintendo representative confirmed the Super NES Classic's controller cord is approximately five feet long, "which is about 2 ft. longer than the cord on the NES Classic Controller."
The length of the NES Classic Edition controller's cord was one of several issues IGN addressed in our look at what Nintendo could learn from the NES Classic's failures. IGN also took a look at how to solve the NES Classic Edition's cord length issue following the system's release.
More Han Solo Movie Clash Details: Acting Coach Hired, Editor Fired
More details are emerging regarding the dismissal of the Han Solo standalone movie directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller and some of the problems leading up to their firing. That includes the earlier firing of an editor on the film and a late-in-the-game hiring of an acting coach for Alden Ehrenreich, who stars as the legendary rogue, scoundrel and smuggler.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, "matters had already reached a boiling point" on a day in mid-June when Lord and Miller, on the cockpit set of the Millennium Falcon, didn’t start shooting until 1 p.m. And once they did, they only achieved three different camera setups, whereas Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy had expected 12-15 setups according to sources. Essentially, Lucasfilm felt that the directors were moving slowly and not offering a ton of coverage for editing.

Nintendo Will Produce ‘Significantly More’ SNES Classic Editions than NES Classic
Nintendo has committed to manufacturing a greater number of the newly announced SNES Classic Edition consoles than it did the NES Classic Edition, with current announced plans to ship the console only through the end of the year.
A statement provided to IGN by a Nintendo representative explains that Nintendo "will produce significantly more units of Super NES Classic Edition than we did of NES Classic Edition," though the company is declining to provide specific numbers at this time. Following the NES Classic's cancellation, Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime told IGN the company shipped 2.3 million NES Classic Edition units worldwide.

If you’re familiar with Codemasters, you probably know this developer doesn’t let a year go by without dropping a new F1 game on the market. The F1 series is based on the Formula One World Championship, a yearly racing event that pits some of the fastest cars on the planet against one another. These games are sims, which means they’re all about realism. So if peeling through real tracks in actual cars at upwards of 200 miles an hour sounds like your kind of fun, this game should be on your radar. Notable features in this installment include the 2017 cars as well as a number of classic cars, which haven’t shown up in the series since F1 2013.
