Warner Bros. Eyes Big Oscar Campaign for Wonder Woman

Warner Bros. is reportedly planning to launch a major campaign during awards season to get Wonder Woman recognized at the Oscars.

According to Variety, the studio has had internal discussions about launching a campaign for the DC film with the hopes of Wonder Woman becoming the first comic book movie to ever receive a Best Picture nomination. Additionally, Warner Bros. is said to be pushing to get Patty Jenkins nominated for Best Director.

While Warner Bros. has yet to officially comment on the matter, the studio will reportedly reintroduce the film this fall to reignite interest. Reports claim Wonder Woman garnered a strong reaction when screened at the Academy. For our thoughts on the film, read IGN's Wonder Woman review.

Hulu to Stream Full House, Family Matters and More

Hulu has entered into an agreement with Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution to gain the exclusive SVOD rights to a variety of American sitcoms from the 90s, including Family Matters, Full House and Step by Step.

The streaming service shared the news today at the Television Critics Association press tour, announcing Hulu will be the exclusive place in the U.S. to stream over 800 episodes from TGIF.

What to Expect from Seth Rogen’s Video Game-Inspired TV Series

When Josh Futturman (Josh Hutcherson) scores big in his favorite video game, The Biotic Wars, his success brings characters from the game -- from the future -- to his door. Tiger (Eliza Coupe) and Wolf (Derek Wilson) are from a war-embroiled 2162, and they travel to 2017 because they believe Josh is the Chosen One. But, he's not all they expected him to be. Hulu's Future Man will explore Josh's journey. And it involves semen.

"It's instrumental to the plot," executive producer and showrunner Ben Karlin said at the Television Critics Association (TCA) press tour, calling an early scene "foreshadowing semen."

A Look at Spidey’s New Costume for Infinity War

Fans who were able to attend Marvel's presentations at the recent D23 Expo or San Diego Comic-Con were treated to an exclusive look at footage from Avengers: Infinity War, footage that revealed Spider-Man wears a new costume in 2018's superhero epic.

Indeed, the costume Spidey sports in Infinity War is the same new, sleek suit that Tony Stark offered Peter Parker -- and that Peter rejected -- at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming. Now, the company behind the creation of that costume have opened up about making both that and the vault that houses it.

Marvel TV Boss on How Runaways Show Connects to MCU

During a panel today at the Television Critics Association press tour for Marvel's new Runaways series -- premiering November 21st on Hulu -- head of Marvel TV Jeph Loeb spoke briefly about how this new show might fit into the larger cinematic universe.

The story, based on the Brian K. Vaughan comic series, centers on six teenagers who discover that their parents are part of a secret cabal of supervillains, "lives in the same world" as all the other Marvel properties, Loeb said, from the movies to the Netflix shows. Destiny 2 PC Beta Dates and Minimum Specs Revealed

If you're eligible for Destiny 2 early access for the PC beta, you can start playing August 28, with the open beta beginning August 29.

On top of the beta dates, Bungie also revealed the minimum PC requirements to join in on the beta, and if you have an older gaming PC, you won't be left out.

Minimum specs call for either an Intel Core i3-3250 or AMD FX-4350 CPU, with either a GeForce GTX 660 2GB or Radeon HD 7850 2GB for graphics. Minimum RAM calls for just 6GB. That's not bad at all.

Recommended specs aren't too far out of the realm of possibility for most PC gamers, with Bungie suggesting Intel Core i5-2400 or an AMD Ryzen R5 1600X and either GeForce GTX 970 or Radeon R9 390 graphics card, along with 8GB RAM.

Showtime Orders Pilot for Ben Affleck, Matt Damon Drama

City on a Hill, a new Boston-set drama executive produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, has received a pilot order by Showtime.

The one-hour pilot is written by Chuck MacLean (Boston Strangler) and directed by Gavin O'Connor (The Accountant), who's also on board as an executive producer. Showtime is producing City on a Hill, which is based on an original concept by Affleck and MacLean.

City on a Hill takes place in the early 90s and tells a fictional account of the "Boston Miracle," during a time when corruption and racism were commonplace. The story centers around an African-American District Attorney from Brooklyn who ends up working with a corrupt but respected FBI vet on a case that turns Boston's criminal justice system on its head.

EA Teased New Battlefield 1 Esports Mode Reveal at Gamescom

UPDATE: During the question and answer period of the investor call, EA said the new addition to Battlefield 1 is an eSports mode, pointing to the difficulties playing competitive matches with 64 players.

During its first-quarter call with investors, EA teased what it called the "richest Battlefield experience" yet.

EA's CEO Andrew Wilson said the new content will premier at Gamescom next month and includes new maps and modes. While it's likely the content is from the upcoming In the Name of the Tsar DLC, first revealed at E3, no specific reference to the expansion was made during Wilson's prepared remarks.
