Destiny 2: Here’s What Xur’s Brought on His First Visit
Xur has returned to the world of Destiny (although not in the place you might expect) with four pieces of exotic equipment.
For all classes, there's the Merciless fusion rifle - currently considered one of the best exotic weapons for the Leviathan Raid that started this week.
The three class-specific armour pieces all come from the choice of three exotics you get in the game's campaign. For Hunters there's the Raiden Flux chestpiece, Titans get the Doom Fang Pauldron Gauntlets, and Warlocks get the gaudy Wings of Sacred Dawn.
Destiny 2: Bungie Confirms Curse of Osiris DLC Is Real
Bungie has confirmed that Curse of Osiris is indeed the name of Destiny 2's upcoming expansion.
"Curse of Osiris is not a leak. It's real!" Bungie marketing director Eric Osborne said in a post on Twitter.
Reports of Curse of Osiris surfaced last month, claiming the DLC pack, will center around Osiris and feature a new patrol zone. While Bungie has yet to announce a release date, Curse of Osiris will reportedly launch sometime in December.
Just last week, an Xbox Store listing corroborated the aforementioned report. According to the store description, Curse of Osiris will feature "all-new story missions and adventures set in a new destination, Mercury." The content will allegedly feature new weapons and armor, as well as new co-op activities and new multiplayer arenas for competitive play.
Carrie Fisher’s Star Wars Scripts To Be Sold at Auction
Carrie Fisher's hand annotated Star Wars scripts are going up for auction.
Profiles in History have announced that the Fisher's scripts for A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi will be going up for auction during a three day Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds personal property action on Oct. 7-9.
The most notable of these is Fisher's Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back shooting script, which has Fisher's own notes to help her play with the context around Leia's lines. As Mashable points out, there are also lines in there that Fisher has written herself; she was famously not allowed to play around with her dialogue as opposed to her co-star Harrison Ford. She later went on to become one of Hollywood's most talented script doctors.

John Wick 3 Release Date Announced
Lionsgate has set a release date for John Wick: Chapter Three.
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the third film in the Keanu Reeves-led action series will hit theaters on May 17, 2019.
This will be the first entry to be released during the summer movie season. The first John Wick film opened in October while this year's John Wick: Chapter Two hit theaters in February.
Derek Kolstad, who wrote John Wick 1 and 2, is confirmed to return to pen the upcoming third installment. No word yet on who'll direct.
For more on John Wick, check out the 9 things IGN wants to see in Chapter 3 and be sure to read our review of Chapter 2, which we think "expands on the original’s lore while not giving away too many underworld secrets."
Nintendo Switch Was the Best Selling Console of August
According to results published by The NPD Group, Nintendo Switch once again came out on top of console sales in the U.S.
Switch has been the top console in 4 of the 6 months of its availability.
The top-selling game for August 2017 was Madden NFL 18, followed by Grand Theft Auto 5, the game that seemingly cannot be stopped when it comes to generating revenue for Take-Two Interactive.
Both hardware and software spending fell off over the same period last year. According to NPD, growth from Nintendo Switch was offset by the decline of Xbox One and "legacy platform" sales. However, overall, "hardware spending has grown 17 percent versus 2016 to $1.7 billion" since the year began.

A Photo Tour Through 7 Halloween Horror Nights Mazes
Every year the Halloween Horror Nights event at Universal Studios Hollywood gets bigger and better as the park is able to entice more and more studios and networks to let the theme park play their franchises to create haunted mazes. The 2017 installment of the annual celebration of horror continues the trend, mixing some first-time horror property appearances with a few returning favorites to create an all-new experience.
In all, Halloween Horror Nights boasts seven mazes (eight if you include the permanent The Walking Dead attraction) and a brand-new Terror Tram to terrify visitors. IGN was able to preview each of seven new mazes with Universal Studios Hollywood Creative Director John Murdy for an inside look at what the park's scares look like this year.
