Ranking Every Simpsons Treehouse of Horror
On Sunday, October 22, The Simpsons will air the 28th installment of the "Treehouse of Horror" series. Since Season 2, FOX has run one of these Halloween-related stories each fall. Early on, these stories were more directly horror-centric, but since then "Treehouse of Horror" has become something of a clearinghouse for stuff the writers can't do during a "regular" episode. And we love it.
In honor of this Halloween tradition, we've ranked of every single "Treehouse of Horror" episode. Some of them are great. Others… well, it's hard to bat a thousand over almost three decades. Read on for our full list...
"The Diving Bell and the Butterball" is the single-worst "Treehouse of Horror" segment ever, and it's not particularly close. It's essentially one long, profoundly unfunny fart joke. The final segment is an Avatar parody that, like Avatar, has not aged well.

Why Avengers Towers Isn’t in The Marvel Netflix Series
The Avengers Tower is a massive landmark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it has not been seen in any of Marvel's Netflix shows, which all take place in New York City. According to Jeph Loeb, a co-executive producer of Marvel TV, Marvel has a reason for that.
Loeb and fellow co-executive producer Jim Chory were interviewed by Inverse recently, in which the two discussed Marvel TV's relationship with New York City. Loeb specifically addressed why the Avengers Tower, a focal point of the Marvel movies, has never shown up in any of the Netflix series.
Kurt Angle Replacing Roman Reigns at WWE TLC
There's some BIG news coming out of WWE today, just two days out from the company's annual TLC (Tables, Ladders and Chairs) PPV this Sunday, October 22nd.
Kurt Angle will be returning to action at the PPV - replacing Roman Reigns in the main event, teaming with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose against Kane, Braun Strowman, The Miz, Sheamus, and Cesaro in a TLC Match.
That's right, not only is Kurt Angle apparently medically cleared to return to a WWE ring for the first time since 2006, but he's going to be a part of a giant, dangerous Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match.
Marvel TV Boss on Postponing the Release of The Punisher
Marvel TV boss Jeph Loeb has shed light on the decision to delay the release of its Netflix series The Punisher.
In an interview with Inverse, Loeb said the choice to postpone The Punisher was due to the recent tragic events in Las Vegas. "This was a decision that we made specifically because it was a week after a horrible, horrible incident," he explained.
Loeb then went on to emphasize that the circumstances surrounding The Punisher's delay have not resulted in the series being altered. "It hasn't changed the television series, the show is not predominantly about gun violence, and in fact it shows you the problems that occur in that world," he said.
This New Batman Story Is an Instant Classic
Sound the alarm: we just got an instant classic Batman story. A comic book that joins the ranks of Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli’s Year One, Alan Moore and Brian Bolland’s The Killing Joke, and Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale’s The Long Halloween as one of the best Batman stories ever told. “The War of Jokes and Riddles,” written by Tom King with artists Mikel Janin and Clay Mann, is timeless, gorgeous, and adds a game-changing twist to the the Dark Knight mythos.
Now I won’t spoil the best bits, but be warned that I will be going over some plot details to explain just why this story is so unbelievably good.
