While You Wait for Game of Thrones, Check out Amazon’s Britannia

If you’re in the market for a new sword and shield epic to hold you over until the final season of Game of Thrones -- Amazon’s Britannia is worth checking out. Britannia tells a fictionalized story of the Roman Empire’s invasion of the Celtic and Druid societies. There’s enough blood, sex, and magical craziness in the nine-episode Season 1 to keep any GoT fan happy.

Britannia complements Game of Thrones in more ways than one. Imagine the island of England as Westeros, with the Romans as the White Walkers -- the ultimate destructive force that wants to conquer the world. In Britannia, the local Celtic tribes are at war with each other, much like the Seven Kingdoms. It’s a similar scenario where the tribes would be better equipped to deal with the Roman threat if they worked together.

Winchester: Exclusive New Poster – IGN First

All month long, IGN First is spotlighting the Films to Watch in 2018. Today, we have an exclusive new poster for Winchester, a horror film from CBS Films and directors Michael and Peter Spierig that stars Helen Mirren, Jason Clarke, Sarah Snook and Angus Sampson. Winchester opens stateside February 2, 2018.

There are those who claim that the Winchester Mystery House is the most haunted house in America, and maybe even the world. Located in San Jose, California, the mansion was built by Sarah Winchester, the widow of William Winchester, who founded the lucrative Winchester Repeating Arms Company, and was under almost constant construction as it gradually became an eccentric architectural curiosity that, the story goes, contains the ghosts of people killed by Winchester rifles.

Opinion: Marvel Comics Needs Conan the Barbarian

Of all the possible announcements Marvel Comics could have made to kick off the new year, I certainly didn't expect the news that they've reacquired the rights to Conan the Barbarian. Outside of Star Wars and Dark Tower, Marvel hasn't focused a great deal on licensed properties in the last couple decades. This new acquisition suggests that Marvel's publishing strategy may be shifting in 2018. And honestly, that may be for the best. A little Conan could be just what Marvel needs right now.

Ubisoft Addresses Rainbow Six Siege Pricing Concerns

Following the reveal of new pricing for Rainbow Six Seige, Ubisoft has issued an official statement on the Rainbow Six subreddit.

The statement primarily concerns itself with issues of note for Rainbow Six's seasoned players. "We have seen the frustration from our veteran players rise to the top of the discussion," Ubisoft said.
