Sea of Thieves Datamine Reveals Probable Features in the Full Game
The Sea of Thieves closed beta is in full swing, with those plucky pirates who have finagled their way in having a whale of a time on the high seas.
But they've been doing a bit more than that - Reddit users (via VG247) have been mining the soggy depths of the beta to find out what secrets lie in store for the full release.
Warning: Shipmates who want to avoid potential spoilers should make a hard turn to starboard now.

Dragon Ball FighterZ DLC Roster Discovered by Dataminers
Dragon Ball FighterZ was released last week, but it's already been datamined, revealing what appears to be the full list of DLC characters to come.
ResetEra member TDLink shared the list, which featured eight additional fighters as well as two modes, called Z Union and Z League.
These entries appear to be for in-game avatars, rather than fully playable characters, but TDLink points out that these are the only 8 avatars not currently in the game, making them a good guide for who will be released later.
Here's the list of additional avatars that have been datamined:
Sega Publishing ‘Brand-New Narrative IP’ From Heavy Rain Designer
Sega has announced that it will publish a 'brand-new narrative driven IP' developed by Quantic Dream alumni.
The publisher will be working with new studio Interior Night, founded in October 2017 by developers whose previous credits include Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Wonderbook: Book of Spells.
This "brand-new narrative driven IP" will be Interior Night's first game. CEO Caroline Marchal believes the partnership will help "deliver a great narrative experience to existing gamers and to a broader audience".
"We are very excited to work with Sega on our first narrative game. Sega have demonstrated a strong desire to take risks, innovate and work collaboratively with studios".
Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition Gets a Release Date
Square Enix has announced a February 9 release date for Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition.
Siliconera has translated a report from Square Enix Japan, which indicates that you can pre-register your interest on both the App Store and Google Play.
The game has a chibi art style and the opening is exactly the same as Final Fantasy XV's. Pocket Edition will be split over 10 episodes and has a chance of being ported to the Switch in the place of a Final Fantasy 15 port, which didn't run very well on the Switch because the console couldn't “bring out the most of the engine”.
How Rampage Hopes to Avoid the “Video Game Curse” – IGN First
All month long, IGN First is spotlighting the Films to Watch in 2018. Today, we take a look at Warner Bros.'s Rampage, the Dwayne Johnson-starring adaptation of the arcade classic from San Andreas director Brad Peyton.
There were three characters Rampage's director Brad Peyton knew he needed to get right when it came time to adapt the '80s Bally Midway arcade classic for the big screen: the giant gorilla, the giant wolf and the giant lizard. Everything else he is building from the ground up for this new summer action flick.

Assassin’s Creed: Origins Will Get a New Game Plus Mode
A New Game Plus mode is coming to Assassin's Creed: Origins.
The news was revealed on the Assassins Creed subreddit, where community manager Dominik Voigt responded to a post praising Origins' latest DLC The Hidden Ones.
"New Game + is coming. We'll have more information to share soon."
The mode has been heavily requested by fans since the game's release, and it looks like Ubisoft has been listening.
Assassin's Creed Origins received its first major DLC pack last week with The Hidden Ones, a prequel to the story featuring Brotherhood forces facing off against the Romans in the all-new location of the Sinai.
Monster Hunter World: 5 Million Copies Shipped in 3 Days
In the three days since launch, Capcom has shipped over 5 million copies of Monster Hunter: World.
Capcom announced the figure, which includes digital sales. It is worth bearing in mind that "shipped" is slightly different to "sold" for physical copies, in that it means units sent to retailers, not paid for by consumers - but it bodes well.
Earlier this month, DualShockers reported that Japanese gaming industry veteran, Hirokazu Hamamura, predicted that Monster Hunter: World would sell 10 million units worldwide long-term, taking into account the PC release slated for this Fall.
How to Be a Real-Life Monster Hunter
Capcom's offering a £50,000 prize to anyone that can offer conclusive evidence for the existence of ten real-world monsters. I’m pretty strapped for cash so, with that in mind, I traveled to South-West England in order to meet a bona fide cryptozoologist, learn the tricks of the trade and bag myself a beast.
Unfortunately for me and my wallet, my boss said that I had to actually do some work while I was away. So, with some reluctance, I present to you a foolproof guide to becoming a real-life monster hunter.
