When collected, these notes will unlock new skins, as well as "powerful Tek-themed dinosaur variants." The first of these notes was released last Friday, alongside the first Extinction-themed skin, "Corrupted Helm."

A Visual History of Mario Sports Games
Nintendo realized Mario’s potential outside of traditional platforming games pretty early on. The success of Super Mario Kart early in the life of the SNES proved that the mascot was malleable enough to tackle a wide array of genres, which has only grown throughout the generations. Just look at this year’s E3, where Nintendo showcased Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Super Mario Party.
One major area of expansion for Mario has been into the world of sports, which have ranged from traditional to extremely strange. From Mario's Tennis on the Virtual Boy to a weird dancing phase on the GameCube, here’s a brief history of Mario’s adventures in sports. Check out the slideshow below.

The Season 4 episodes will still run for around 43 minutes and the story will be split into two parts. “We were going to have two parts to it anyway, so we’ll just tell a really strong, gnarly first part,” Modrovich said.

Ninjala – Splatoon Meets ARMS on Nintendo Switch
It's always refreshing when a developer can describe their game in a few short words while simultaneously capturing its tone in a creative fashion. Ninjala, a Nintendo Switch exclusive game announced at E3 2018, exists in the "ninja gum action" genre of games. While that might sound confusing at the moment, don't worry, it'll make much more sense once you see it in action.
Designed by Takeshi Arakawa, former Senior Director and Co-Producer of the Dissidia: Final Fantasy series, and Kazuki Morishita, Executive Producer of Puzzle & Dragons, Ninjala aims to rein in a new generation of ninjas through online battles against other players.
Ninjala is all about pummeling your opponents with melee weapons and smothering them with the many bubblegum-related techniques you'll have at your disposal. While it's hard not to compare Ninjala to another certain Switch title that also features colorful multiplayer-focused kid-on-kid combat, it still looks to offer enough original ideas to make itself stand out as its own unique experience.
Devs Say Twitch is Hurting Single-Player Games
At every video game event I’ve been to for the past six months, including this year’s E3, I’ve asked a wide variety of game developers about the future of single-player games. Even though we’re still getting enormous single-player successes like God of War, it’s undeniably easier to monetize multiplayer experiences, and I think that’s how this fear of the “death of single player games” has shown up in pockets of the gaming community. The notion even goes back to 2011, with Mark Cerny, lead architect of the PlayStation 4, saying: “Right now you sit in your living room and you’re playing a game by yourself – we call it the sp mission or the single-player campaign. In a world with Facebook I just don’t think that’s going to last.”
