Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Ending Explained

FULL SPOILERS ahead obviously!!

The end of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom takes the series in a dramatic new direction. Isla Nublar has effectively been destroyed – or at best, turned into an uninhabitable rock just off the coast of Costa Rica.

But more importantly, the dinosaurs are now free. Properly free.

During Fallen Kingdom the natural order appears to be reasserting itself, ushering the dinosaurs towards extinction once again. Even Claire, who for the majority of the movie advocates their conservation, decides to let them go the way of, well, the dinosaurs, allowing them to be poisoned in the lab beneath Lockwood’s mansion.

But at the very last minute, Maisie, let’s them go, and pushing all subtext firmly to one side, says, “I had to. They’re like me. They’re alive.”

Friday the 13th: The Game Will Receive No Future Content

Due to the ongoing legal disputes over the Friday the 13th franchise, Friday the 13th: The Game will receive no future content.

This news comes from an official forum post from the game's co-creator Wes Keltner, who said of the issue: "Development on games can’t just pause indefinitely and pick back up again; it doesn’t work that way. We can’t keep building content that may never see the light of day. We can't

either. We can’t add any content, whatsoever. Nada."

The legal dispute in question is complicated, involving the original film's scriptwriter, the 1976 Copyright Act and the future proceedings of a Connecticut federal court case. With Friday the 13th: The Game falling under this complex array of problems, it's simply not feasible for Gun Media and IllFonic to continue producing new content for the game.

ABC’s Roseanne Spinoff is Officially Happening – Without Roseanne

ABC has officially picked up the Roseanne spinoff, which is currently using the working title of "The Conners," IGN has confirmed.

The spinoff will feature every member of the Roseanne revival except its titular star, Roseanne Barr, whose racist tweet resulted in the show's cancellation last month. John Goodman (Dan), Laurie Metcalf (Jackie), Sara Gilbert (Darlene), Lecy Goranson (Becky) and Michael Fishman (D.J.), will all reprise their roles, and the show is expected to take over the 8 p.m. Tuesday timeslot that Roseanne Season 11 was scheduled to occupy this fall.

ABC emphasized that Barr will have no creative or financial involvement in the spinoff, which has been given a straight-to-series order for 10 episodes.

20 Million Amazon Prime Members Don’t Know About Video Content

A recent survey from Morgan Stanley revealed that 1 out of every 5 Amazon Prime subscribers don't know that they can view movies and television series on the service.

That means there's a significant amount of people not watching Amazon's original programming, especially since the company now has 100 million members: Based on Morgan Stanley's analysis, around 20 million potential viewers are missing out on high-production shows like The Man in the High Castle, and critically-acclaimed comedies like The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

According to a report from Business Insider, Morgan Stanley says the problem stems from a simple "lack of awareness" about what's included in Prime, with most individuals signing up for free 2-day shipping and other shopping benefits.

The Best Deaths in the Jurassic Park Movies

In 1993, Steven Spielberg welcomed us to the theme park that wouldn’t die, no matter how many humans were mauled and eaten by the genetic monstrosities within. Michael Crichton’s original novel Jurassic Park is heavy on the gore, which was toned down for the film. But plenty of terror and violence remained in Spielberg’s version, adding a heightened sense of terror and adventure to this cautionary tale of man vs. nature. Though arguably no film could ever live up to the original, the franchise proliferated with newer special effects, return appearances by beloved characters, and increasingly creative excuses for using bone-crunching sound effects and blood splatters. A big-budget franchise, like life, “finds a way.”
