Watch the First Trailer for True Detective Season 3
HBO released the first trailer for True Detective Season 3 ahead of the Sharp Objects finale on Sunday night, and Nic Pizzolatto's atmospheric crime drama seems to be going back to its roots in its third outing.
Starring Oscar winner Mahershala Ali, True Detective Season 3 "tells the story of a macabre crime in the heart of the Ozarks, and a mystery that deepens over decades and plays out in three separate time periods." Ali stars as Wayne Hays, a state police detective from Northwest Arkansas, with Carmen Ejogo, Mamie Gummer, Scoot McNairy and Stephen Dorff rounding out the main cast.
Pokemon World Championship’s Nashville Themed Set is Amazing
Every year at the Pokemon World Championships, key Pokemon art and the stage are designed with the hosting city in mind. The 2018 Pokemon World Championships are in Nashville, Tennessee, and the stage design and themed Pokemon are especially brimming with its Music City inspiration.
Pikachu plays a banjo, Snivy's on guitar, and other Pokemon are geared up in country and music-themed getup in the key art, and the stage looks like a particularly famous street in downtown Nashville. There was even a country-inspired Pokemon song composed just for the event, and plenty of set pieces spread about the convention center with hay bales and instruments.

Inside Japan’s Pokemon-Themed Train
While in Japan for the Pokemon Go Safari Zone event in Yokosuka this week, we had the chance to check out Tokyo's limited edition Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee-themed trains.
Certain cars on Japan’s Ginza line and Marunouchi line have been decked out in Pokemon style since August 19 and will remain that way until August 30. The car we rode was on the Ginza line, which stretches from Shibuya to Asakusa.
Check out a dozen photos of the Pikachu and Eevee-themed train in the gallery below:
The train itself bears no special markings on the outside, but inside it’s fully taken over by Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee, with imagery from the game across the walls, doors, and seats.
