EVE FPS Project Nova Is Shooting for the Stars, But It’s Not There Yet

Project Nova is more of a sequel to the doomed Dust-514 than I’d expected. The last EVE FPS was an insanely ambitious shooter that intertwined platforms, meaningfully shared a universe and, well, didn’t quite work. Laudably, even having to prematurely shut down that particular experiment hasn’t dissuaded developer CCP from trying again.

Even more laudably, the developer really wants to get that crossover appeal right, not just make a simple spin-off. Project Nova not only picks up on Dust’s story (it tells an ongoing tale of the elite clone troopers we were introduced to in the PS4 game), but aims, once again, to integrate with the always-fascinating EVE Online. Just not quite yet.

Daredevil: Season 3 Finale Review

Warning: The following contains spoilers for Daredevil Season 3, Episode 13. If you need a refresher on where we left off, check out our review of Season 3, episode 12.

"Today was the happiest day of my life."

Well this is certainly a crazed, charged blaze of glory!

Daredevil vs. Bullseye vs. Kingpin? Are you kidding me?

All while Poindexter's trying to kill Vanessa and Matt keeps stopping him? This is pure malicious magic.

And bloody magic too. In fact, funny to note, as soon as you see both Fisk and Vanessa wearing sheer white (with that trademark rose as a final touch) you can almost smell that things are going to get messy. It seemed like either Vanessa was going to get killed, spilling her blood all over Fisk while she dies in his arms, or Fisk was going to kill someone else and get that sinister splatter all over him. Hell, he could've even spilled celebratory nuptial meatballs all over himself, but somehow that garb was going to get ruined. Fisk, at his most powerful, at the happiest he's ever been, was going to face tragedy.

The Kylo Ren Joke That Had to Be Changed for Ralph Breaks the Internet

Disney’s first Wreck-It Ralph came out in 2012, the same week that the studio announced its acquisition of Lucasfilm. Which is to say, new Star Wars movies were barely a twinkle in the eye of the Mouse House at the time. But now six years have passed, which has provided the filmmakers behind the Wreck-It sequel Ralph Breaks the Internet plenty of Star Wars fodder to play with amid the film’s many nods to other Disney properties like Marvel and the Disney princesses.

And yet, there was one particularly noteworthy joke that didn’t make the cut.

As directors Rich Moore and Phil Johnston and head of story Josie Trinidad explain it, Disney declined to run with a certain Kylo Ren gag.

Before Marvel's Spider-Man debuted on PS4, some would-be players were upset about...puddles. But developer Insomniac Games has now let players frustrated about puddle size reimagine the game with as many puddles as they could want.

As part of today's new Spider-Man PS4 updates, which include New Game Plus and an Ultimate difficulty, Photo Mode also saw the addition of new stickers and frames. And as part of those new options are puddles, as seen in the image below.

Daredevil Season 3, Episode 12: “One Last Shot” Review

"I hurt people. My pride hurt people. And I need to make that right again."

Here we are at the penultimate episode of Daredevil Season 3 - perhaps even the penultimate episode of Daredevil as a series, if Netflix's recent Marvel show cancelations are meant to signal something dire - and... well, things don't quite work out for our heroes.

Daredevil Season 3, Episode 11: “Reunion” Review

Warning: The following contains spoilers for Daredevil Season 3, Episode 11. If you need a refresher on where we left off, check out our review of Season 3, episode 10.

"I know who you are, Mr. Fisk. You’re a wolf too."

As we head into the home stretch of Season 3, "Reunion" reforms and re-galvanizes the show's core trio - Matt, Karen, and Foggy - while also finding moments of redemption for Sister Maggie and Agent Nadeem. It's a gripping boxed-in/search-and-rescue story - not unlike Season 1's "Condemned" - that places Matt and Karen in a pressure cooker while restoring Fisk to the mountain top.
