Opinion: How Cowboy Bebop Changed My Life

I popped my head into my brother’s room. He was on his computer playing video games -- likely Warcraft. He was one of those overachievers who could do eight things at once, so he also had his textbooks open on his desk and some anime on in the background.

“What’s this?”

“Oh -- it’s awesome. Cowboy Bebop. You’ll love it.”

He didn’t even take his eyes off the computer screen to answer my question. I looked at the TV. And there he was, Spike Spiegel, in all his green-haired glory, those brown, bounty-hunting eyes staring back into mine. I knew it right then: I was in love.

My brother and I watched Dragon Ball Z and Sailor Moon on Toonami when we were young. We caught some episodes of Ronin Warriors, Inuyasha and Outlaw Star on Adult Swim. I owned one Sailor Moon VHS, and it was pretty pricey. Anime wasn’t easy to come by back then.

Xbox Players Are Upset About Fallout 76’s Exclusive ‘Early’ Beta

The original announcement of the Fallout 76 beta detailed that Xbox One players would be given early access to the beta – one full week ahead of PlayStation 4 users.

However, many players' expectations of the amount of playable time in that exclusive beta window don't align with the reality, as Bethesda announced Wednesday on Twitter that the second beta time slot after Tuesday's first 4-hour opening, wouldn't be until Saturday, Oct. 27, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm ET.

In Bethesda's post on their website Tuesday, they detailed aspects of the "Break-it Early Test Application" saying the beta may be offline for a day or two while they review data from the beta itself. Responding to IGN's request for comment, a Bethesda representative emphasized that all of the current information is in the aforementioned existing blog post.

Disneyland Marvel Super Hero Land Detailed

New information on the Marvel-themed area at Disney California Adventure has been revealed, including details on attractions, restaurants and stores.

As reported by WDW News Today, construction on the first phase of these Marvel attractions is well underway, with “Stark Industry” fences blocking off multiple areas that are currently undergoing renovations. The central hub of the Marvel-centric area is expected to be a large Avengers symbol surrounded by the various Marvel attractions.

Following A Bug’s Land’s closure in September to make room for the Marvel area, the “It’s Tough to Be A Bug” theater is reportedly being repurposed into a new Spider-Man attraction where guests are given a web-shooter apparatus to use in the ride. Rumors suggest it will be primarily screen-based, like Toy Story Midway Mania. A Doctor Strange live show is expected to take place in a nearby courtyard, and will likely be similar to a stage show offered on the Disney Cruise Line.
