The New Mutants: New Explainer Clip and Posters Released

Tickets for The New Mutants are now on sale, and two new posters have been released to celebrate the occasion. The New Mutants' journey to release has been a long one, as it has shifted hands from 21st Century Fox to Disney and has been delayed multiple times, but it will now be one of the first new movies shown in theaters since theaters around the world closed due to COVID-19. The New Mutants will officially debut on the silver screen on Aug. 28, and tickets can be purchased now. "Advance tickets for Twentieth Century Studios' 'The New Mutants' are now available," a press release from the studio reads. "Exclusive new posters for the original horror thriller from Dolby Cinema and Cinemark XD are available now as well, as is a special look at the film, which will be in theaters August 28, 2020." The movie will be released in AMC heaters, Dolby Cinema theaters, Cinemark XD theaters and more. You can check out the exclusive Cinemark XD poster below. 1 The Dolby Cinema poster can be seen below. The New Mutants Dolby Cinema Poster If you're unfamiliar with The New Mutants, it's basically a story of a group of teenagers with special powers trapped inside a facility. Horror and thrills ensue. To get fans excited, the studio released a brief 60-second clip explaining what fans can expect, and what the deal is with each of the movie's main characters. You can view that below. The news of these tickets going on sale lines up with previous reports indicating that Disney had recently told exhibitors that the movie would still hit theaters on Aug. 28. The movie was originally slated to hit theaters on April 13, 2018 but it was pushed to February 22, 2019. Then, it was delayed again to August 2, 2019, and then once more to April 3, 2020. Its final release date was announced earlier this year and it seems Disney is intent on the movie hitting theaters that day. These delays started as production-related before COVID-19 caused even more. Weird Al Joins Reno 911 in Hilarious New Trailer for Season 7, Part 2

One of TV's most hilarious ensembles returns to Quibi with another batch of episodes next week. Part 2 of Reno 911! Season 7 is set to premiere on Quibi on August 24, 2020. Here's how Quibi describes Reno 911! Season 7: "Reno 911! lets viewers ride shotgun with the courageous men and women of the Reno Sheriff’s Department as they lay down the law and put it all on the line. The Reno 911! camera doesn’t blink - and when danger is near, the Reno Sheriff’s Department will be nearer." IGN is exclusively debuting the new Reno 911! Season 7, Part 2 trailer, which features an unlikely cameo from Weird Al Yankovic, which you can watch in the video below or at the top of the page: [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/08/18/reno-911-season-7-part-2-official-trailer-2020"] Reno 911! Season 7 includes the original cast and creators, including Robert Ben Garant, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Thomas Lennon, Niecy Nash, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Cedric Yarbrough, Carlos Alazraqui, Ian Roberts, Joe Lo Truglio, and Mary Birdsong. Early this year, Reno 911! co-creator Thomas Lennon told IGN what it was like to get the original cast back together. "It was definitely a trip to have the entire original cast back together. It’s a little bit like being in the Eagles and then doing the Eagles 'Hell Freezes Over,' but the fact is that the cast was better, funnier and sharper now than any time before. It was amazing to see how everyone had grown as improvisers and actors, because everyone came out of the gate with no preparation." Be sure to check out Reno 911! Season 7, Part 2 when it premieres on Quibi on August 24, 2020. Let us know what you thought of the trailer in the comments section below. Deathloop Delayed to 2021

Arkane has announced that Deathloop has been delayed to Q2 2021. This means it will no longer launch in the same window as the PS5 console, as originally announced at Sony's PS5 showcase earlier this year. The Dishonored developers explained in a statement posted to Twitter that the working-from-home situation required due to COVID-19 has meant that the creation and polish of the game is taking "longer than normal". The delay from holiday 2020 to Q2 2021 means it will land next spring, somewhere between April and June. "This extra time will allow our team to bring Deathloop's world to life with as much character and fun as you've come to expect from our team," said Arkane. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/08/10/deathloop-developer-update-video"] While we'll have to wait a few months longer to play Deathloop, Arkane promises that the next update on the game is "coming soon." If you've not yet caught up on what Deathloop is, take a look at our interview with the staff at Arkane Lyon, who explain how this ambitious story-based PvP campaign works.
