Destiny 2: Where Is Xur Today? Location and Exotic Items for September 30-October 3

The pile of mysteries, Xûr, is now live in Destiny 2 for the weekend until next week's reset. If you're looking to get your some shiny new Exotic armor or weapons for your Guardian, look no further.

Each week, Xûr has a random assortment of Exotic armor, one for each Guardian class, as well as a random Exotic Weapon and an Exotic Engram available for purchase. In addition to his Exotic wares, he's got a random collection of Legendary weapons and armor to deck out your Guardians.

We've rounded up all the info on Xûr for the week including where to find Xûr, which Exotic weapons and armor are available, as well as which Legendary weapons you should pick up, either for PvE or PvP.

Where Is Xûr Today?

Xûr's location can be found at The Tower on September 30 through October 3. To reach him, travel to the landing point at The Courtyard and make your way to the Hangar. You'll find ol' snake-face chilling near the stairs at the back of the Hangar area.

Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu Casts Bill Skarsgard, Lily-Rose Depp

The upcoming Nosferatu movie from Robert Eggers has found its vampire.

According to Deadline, Bill Skarsgard has joined the upcoming gothic horror while opposite Lily-Rose Depp who is still in talks to star.

The Nosferatu remake is set in the 19th Century and will tell the story of a haunted young woman who becomes the object of obsession for an ancient Transylvanian vampire.

A Nosferatu remake has been in the works since 2015 and is something of a passion project for director, Robert Eggers. The project almost came to fruition in 2019 with Harry Styes and Anya Taylor-Joy… but was ultimately shelved.

Eggers then went on to make his recent hit film, The Northman, which debuted earlier this year.

“After The Northman, Eggers started looking at other projects but always had his eye on coming back to the gothic tale,” said Deadline. Once the film passed from Studio 8 to Focus Features, the filmmaker locked it in as his next project.

It’s reported that Skarsgard has been in the running for the role of the vampire since the project’s earlier iteration with Styles and Taylor-Joy… but now it looks as though he could be joined by Lily-Rose Depp instead.

Considering his terrifying look as Pennywise in Stephen King’s It and It: Chapter Two, I get the feeling Eggers is onto a winner when it comes to Nosferatu.

The original Count Orlok, the vampire in Nosferatu, was played by Max Schrek, and was renowned for its horrific visage. Similarly, Skarsgard’s role in It become renowned for its unsettling look, and it seems Skarsgard has managed to carve himself out quite a niche.

IGN’s review of The Northman gave it 8/10 and said: “Robert Eggers’ Viking revenge saga The Northman works best when it dives head-first into dreams and disorienting visions, but it slows down when it becomes a more traditional Hollywood narrative. With viciousness relegated to its margins, it often feels neutered and bloodless, but still ends up on the right side of entertaining thanks to its pulsating music and measured performances.”

Eggers will both write and direct Nosferatu, while Jeff Robinov, John Graham, Eggers, Chris Columbus, and Eleanor Columbus are on board as producers.

Exclusive: Optimus Prime and Other Transformers are Joining Magic: The Gathering

Optimus Prime and other Transformers characters are becoming Magic: The Gathering cards in the upcoming The Brothers' War expansion.

The crossover was revealed at Hasbro's PulseCon, with Wizards of the Coast announcing that the cards will be featured as the first Universes Beyond set that exists within another normal expansion.

Six characters were revealed:

  • Optimus Prime, Autobot Leader / Optimus Prime, Hero
  • Goldbug, Scrappy Scout / Goldbug, Humanity’s Ally
  • Starscream, Seeker Leader / Starscream, Power Hungry
  • Soundwave, Superior Captain / Soundwave, Sonic Spy
  • Flamewar, Streetwise Operative / Flamewar, Brash Veteran
  • Slicer, High-Speed Antagonist / Slicer, Hired Muscle

There will be 15 Transformers cards in total but each one is available in two different styles. One depicts the G1 1980s-style characters, and the other depicts the latest Shattered Glass comics in which Autobots are evil and Decepticons are good. Where the newer characters didn't exist previously, they've been reimagined in the classic aesthetic.

Each card is also double-sided, with one side showing the Transformers in robot mode and the other in vehicle mode. They'll be spread randomly throughout The Brothers' War set boosters, collector boosters, and the Bundle Box, but will be distinguished by special Universes Beyond frames and holofoil stamps.

Given their unique mechanics, the Transformers cards are only playable in Commander, Legacy, and Vintage formats despite appearing in a standard set. Two new keywords will be introduced in the Transformers cards: More Than Meets the Eye and Living Metal.

"It was important we find a seamless way of integrating our Transformers characters into the world of Magic the Gathering while ensuring the cards remained true to both brands. Our characters have both a robot mode and an alt-mode, so making each card double-sided allowed us to feature one of our brands most important and fun elements: duality of form," Hasbro's Head of Action Brands Jenny Whitlock says.

"We’ve been looking for a place to put Transformers, and in a world full of giant mechs and sweet artifacts, it made sense."

The former allows players to cast them on the backside for an alternate cost while the latter makes all Transformers in vehicle mode also count as a create and does not require it to be crewed.

"Normally in Magic, you crew your vehicles with your creature," Gavin Verhey, principal game designer at Wizards of the Coast tells IGN. "But nobody hops in and drives Optimus Prime. So, we solved that with the final Living Metal mechanic, which also plays into the fact that they’re robots in disguise on your opponent’s turns."

Verhey also explained why these cards would be included in The Brothers' Arms set and not included separately like its previous Universes Beyond expansions such as Fortnite and Street Fighter.

"There are so many fan-favorite Transformers characters, not to mention the Shattered Glass versions too, that we wanted to make sure we could launch many of them," he said, "and 20 cards is outside of the scope of what we’ve done so far."

Verhey continued, "The Brother’s War is an incredible set that retells one of the most classic stories of Magic," Verhey said. "There’s a lot for established players to dig into here, but we wanted to have something that might catch the eye of someone who didn’t have the background of Brother’s War to get them excited about the set. And finally, as mentioned before, we’ve been looking for a place to put Transformers, and in a world full of giant mechs and sweet artifacts, it made sense."

As for what's ahead, Verhey couldn't confirm whether or not these Transformers cards would get versions created for the Magic: The Gathering's Standard format, but did say that Wizards of the Coast is open to the idea.

"There are currently no plans to create in-universe versions, but we absolutely have the technology available to us to print in-universe versions if we need to," he said. "For example, if one breaks out as a very popular card and we need to reprint an in-world version at some point."

Transformers isn't the only popular IP that Magic: The Gathering has partnered with recently, most recently announcing a Warhammer 40K collection. That's not all though, as Doctor Who, The Walking Dead, and Netflix's Arcane have also had special sets.

Ubisoft Announces Playtests for a New Co-Op Shooter, Project U

Ubisoft has just announced a new co-op shooter, Project U.

Almost nothing is known about the upcoming game, which was announced today, but Ubisoft has already opened registration for its upcoming playtests.

“Codename ‘Project U’ explores a new concept of session-based co-op shooter, where many players unite to prevail against an overwhelming threat!” says the game’s official announcement.

The game is currently in early development, with the first PC-only closed playtest taking place in western Europe.

Although the game will be entirely in English, the company is encouraging players from across Europe to get involved and will be available in France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria, Switzerland, Portugal, Spain, and Italy.

“We'd love to play with you and gather your valuable feedback in order to improve the game experience and steer production in the right direction!” said Ubisoft.

If you’re interested in taking part in Project U playtesting, you can register here.

This isn’t the first time recently that Ubisoft has announced a new project with a playtest. The upcoming Project Q, a team battle arena game that isn’t a battle royale, was announced in much the same way.

Other than the game’s registration page, there’s very little to go on when it comes to Project U. However, it does feature some artwork that depicts an armored team of players making a standoff against a colossal horde of angular, machine-like enemies.

Whether this means we should expect a horde-mode style of gameplay remains to be seen. Either way, it looks like an interesting addition to Ubisoft’s line-up, and we’ll be popping our names down ASAP.

Whether this means we should expect a horde-mode style of gameplay remains to be seen. Either way, it looks like an interesting addition to Ubisoft’s line-up, and we’ll be popping our names down ASAP.

Kevin Feige: Werewolf By Night ‘Will Ultimately Become Quite Important to the Future of the MCU’

The MCU has explored many different facets of genre fiction, from paranoia thrillers to sci-fi adventures. Werewolf by Night is Marvel's attempt to go all-in on classic horror, and according to Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige, it could have a major impact on the MCU going forward.

In a new behind-the-scenes featurette exclusive to IGN, Werewolf by Night's creators talk about the creation of the new Halloween special, which will star Gael Garcia Bernal as Jack Russell — the MCU's take on Universal's classic Wolf Man.

"We wanted to explore entirely new characters and entirely new sides of the MCU with this unusual, fun, and frightening spin on the supernatural," Feige explains during the featurette.

Laura Donnelly, who plays Elsa Bloodstone in the new special, calls it something "brand-new that we've never seen in this universe before."

But it's a brief comment by Feige that may raise some eyebrows among MCU fans.

"We are introducing a world that will ultimately become quite important to the future of the MCU," Feige says in his typically cryptic fashion.

Feige's comment follows the confirmation of MCU Phase 5 and Phase 6 during San Diego Comic-Con, which outlined the future of the MCU for years to come. Will Jack Russell have something to say about the resolution of the Kang the Conquerer and Secret Wars arcs? We'll just have to see.

In any event, Werewolf by Night will be the MCU's first holiday special, just edging out the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. The one-hour special will release on October 7.
