Target Leaks a New Apple TV and Other Apple Products on the Way

A new leak from Target employees seems to confirm that a new generation of the Apple TV, iPod Touch, and AirPod tech is in the works. Listed as placeholders in the Target backend, these listings don't mention any kind of release date but do offer some pricing details. Uncovered by 9to5Mac, the placeholder listing has the new Apple TV priced at $179.99, which is $30 more than the 4th generation Apple TV and the same price as the Apple TV 4K. The iPod Touch and AirPods are currently listed at $399. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=every-tv-show-coming-to-apple&captions=true"] It is fairly common for retailers to create placeholders for unannounced items so that the backend will be all set up when the new products arrive. Further, these prices are far from confirmed, as retailers usually just put in a "best guess" price until an official announcement has been made. It's important to note that while a new generation of Apple products is likely coming, none of this has been officially confirmed by the tech giant. Apple tends to hold a major event every spring, so it's possible there might be an announcement then. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2019/09/13/apple-arcade-in-100-seconds"] The new Apple TV will likely look to provide additional support for Apple Arcade, the company's game streaming service. Apple Arcade released last September and costs $5 a month. While you're waiting for the new generation of Apple products to be released, check out our comprehensive list of all Apple Arcade games and our review of Apple TV. Baldur’s Gate 3 Will Release in Early Access Later This Year

With just about a week before PAX East, Baldur’s Gate 3 developer Larian Studios has announced that the long-awaited RPG will first launch in early access later this year.

Hasbro, which owns Wizards of the Coast, which in turn is responsible for the publishing of D&D products, made the announcement at the New York Toy Fair, according to a report from DSO Gaming.

[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2019/06/06/baldurs-gate-3-announcement-teaser-uncut"]

It wouldn’t be the first time Larian has released one of its expansive role-playing games in early access. Divinity: Original Sin 2 first released as early access in September 2016, and finally launched in full almost exactly a year later in 2017. During its first stage of early access, Larian only had the prologue, first chapter, and a transition to act two available to play. Hasbro and Larian have made no further comments regarding what amount of content will release during this early access period, or what state it will be in. After its full release, Divinity: Original Sin 2 also received ongoing updates, culminating in a Definitive Edition in August 2018, which came with a wide array of improvements.

Larian will be debuting gameplay footage during PAX East for Baldur’s Gate 3 on February 27 at 3:30 P.M. Eastern Time. Larian has said that the PAX East presentation will feature gameplay and story details, plus a Q&A session for fans afterwards.

Hasbro discussed plenty more details during their presentation at the New York Toy Fair. The company echoed the Wizards of the Coast president’s earlier comments, saying that seven games based on the Dungeons & Dragons IP are currently in production, including Dark Alliance (the spiritual successor to Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance), which lets players hack and slash their way through orc hordes as the popular Icewind Dale characters Drizzt the dark elf, Cattie-brie, Wulfgar, and Bruenor.

HBO Recategorizes Watchmen as a Limited Series

Ahead of an official awards season campaign, HBO has reclassified Damon Lindelof's Watchmen from a "drama series" to a "limited series," including for “any possible future installments.” As Variety reports, the new category allows Watchmen to compete for a different set awards while also more aligning with what creator Lindelof has said about the nine episodes representing his entire idea for a series, giving us a complete beginning, middle, and end. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=watchmen-all-the-comic-book-references-in-the-hbo-series&captions=true"] Though the door isn't closed on Watchmen, HBO programming president Casey Bloys said that a Season 2 was unlikely without Lindelof. HBO's statement reads: “We discussed with the producers and felt limited series was the most accurate representation of the show and any possible future installments.” IGN named Watchmen the best TV show of 2019, an accolade Damon Lindelof called "an incredible gift." We also cited Watchmen as one of the best TV shows of the decade. The Bella Twins Announced for WWE Hall of Fame

Nikki and Brie, The Bella Twins, will join Batista and the NWO (Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Sean Waltman) in the 2020 Class of the WWE Hall of Fame. On this week's SmackDown, Alexa Bliss broke the news on her "Moment of Bliss" talk show segment, where the Bellas thanked their "Bella Army," brought up how they're both also pregnant (yes, a week and a half apart), and then mentioned Nikki's engagement to her boyfriend, Artem Chigvintsevwith. The announcement ended with Brie's husband Daniel Bryan coming out on stage, with their daughter Birdie, to share in the celebration. The Bella Twins debuted in WWE back in 2008, using dirty tactics - "Twin Magic," in which Nikki would secretly swap in for Brie - to win matches. In 2011, Brie captured the WWE Divas Championship while Nikki would win the title in 2014, holding it for 300 days and setting a record for the championship. The duo are also the stars of E! reality shows Total Divas and spinoff Total Bellas. The 2020 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony takes place on Thursday, April 2, during WrestleMania 36 Week.
