The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Shoot Shut Down Due to Coronavirus Concerns

Disney+’s The Falcon and The Winter Soldier has shut down a shoot in Prague due to COVID-19 concerns. The Marvel series was filming in Prague when the local government closed schools and placed restrictions on travel and events. Most of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier was shot in Atlanta, but a short shoot began last Friday in Prague, according to Deadline. The shoot was expected to be finished in a week, but after the production cancellation, everyone was ordered to return to Atlanta, and it’s unclear if the planned Prague shoots will be completed. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=from-black-widow-to-wandavision-45-revealing-images-from-marvel-studios-big-game-teasers&captions=true"] Shoots for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier were previously affected when a planned shoot in Puerto Rico was impacted by a 6.4 magnitude earthquake. However, the show is still expected to premiere on the Disney+ streaming service in August. The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is a spinoff series focusing on Anthony Mackie’s The Falcon — who inherited Captain America’s shield at the end of Avengers: Endgame — and Sebastian Stan’s deprogrammed hitman The Winter Soldier as they work together to take down their old foe Zemo. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/02/03/marvel-studios-disney-plus-big-game-spot"] It’s one of the many Marvel spinoffs premiering on Disney+. Other shows set to premiere on the service include WandaVision, Loki, She-Hulk, Hawkeye, and Ms. Marvel. [poilib element="accentDivider"] Matt Kim is a reporter for IGN. Call of Duty: Warzone Combat Pack Is a PS Plus Exclusive Until October

Modern Warfare's battle royale mode, Warzone, is finally out and PlayStation users are celebrating with an exclusive reward. The Call of Duty: Warzone Combat Pack will be a timed PlayStation exclusive for PS Plus members until October 1, 2020. The Warzone Combat Pack, which is free for PS Plus subscribers, will offer players the Operator Skin, a weapon blueprint, an in-game watch, a special calling card, a weapon charm, and an XP coin. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=call-of-duty-warzone-screenshots&captions=true"] Even though PlayStation users won't need an active PS Plus membership to download and play Warzone, they will need an active PS Plus membership to download the free Call of Duty: Warzone Combat Pack. It's also worth noting that Xbox users will need an Xbox Live Gold subscription to play Warzone. The PlayStation exclusive Call of Duty: Warzone Combat Pack likely won't come as a surprise to those familiar with the CoD franchise. Earlier this year it was announced that a "Special Ops Survival Mode" would be a timed PlayStation exclusive until October. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/03/09/call-of-duty-warzone-official-trailer"] Activision's decision to offer exclusive content hasn't always been popular with the community. In 2018, Black Ops 4 DLC came to PlayStation first, leaving Xbox players a bit frustrated. After a plethora of leaks, Modern Warfare: Warzone was officially announced earlier this week. Further, it is free to play even if you don't own a copy of Modern Warfare and offers special "Packs" that can be purchased at the player's discretion. How do you feel about the Combat Pack being a timed PS Plus exclusive? Let us know in the comments below. [poilib element="accentDivider"] Andrew Smith is a freelance contributor with IGN. A Quiet Place 2 Is Both a Prequel and a Sequel

A Quiet Place: Part II is set to be released in theaters on March 20, 2020, and it appears that it will fill the role of being both a prequel and a sequel to 2018's A Quiet Place. SPOILERS AHEAD for 2018's A Quiet Place. A Quiet Place: Part II's director John Krasinski also directed and played Lee Abbott in the first film, a character who sacrificed himself to save his family. However, Lee will still make an appearance as Part II will give viewers a glimpse of "Day 1" of the alien invasion, which takes place prior to the events of the 2018 original. You can watch a scene from Part II depicting Lee Abbott during Day 1 in the video below: [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/03/10/a-quiet-place-part-ii-wait-here-clip"] The official trailer for A Quiet Place: Part II shows Emily Blunt's Evelyn Abbott, Millicent Simmonds' Regan Abbott, and Noah Jupe's Marcus Abbott as they fight to survive and stay silent without Lee, confirming we will also see the continuation of their journey. These two perspectives appear to be setting up Part II as an expansion of A Quiet Place's world instead of it being a traditional sequel. Krasinski and Blunt have both echoed that fact. As reported by Collider, Krasinski was hesitant to commit to making a sequel. However, with his wife and co-star Emily Blunt and Paramount's support, he found the way to make it work thanks to Blunt's idea to view the film as "not a sequel," but more of a "second book in a series":
"That’s why I got really excited, because for me certainly the most fun I’ve ever had in my career as a writer was writing this, because I got to play in the most exciting world," Krasinski explained on The Big Picture podcast. "It was actually Emily, of course, who articulated it better than me. She said the same thing, it was like, ‘No way, don’t do a second one,’ and then I pitched her my idea and she was like, ‘So you’re definitely doing that.’ She said, ‘But it’s not a sequel. It’s the second book in a series,’ she said, ‘It sounds [like] semantics but it’s true, it really is—you’re not doing anything that’s like, alright I’m gonna take all the things you love and just kinda repeat them but in a different way.’ It’s not A Quieter Place, it’s sort of an exploration of getting to live in the circumstances, and that’s really fun.”
As reported by CNET, Blunt told MTV International that Krasinski was very interested in a prequel and showing how the world found its way into the "current apocalyptic state." These ideas appear to have become reality as A Quiet Place: Part II will continue the story from the original, but also give more context into the world that is forced to stay quiet. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=the-14-best-horror-sequels-of-the-century-so-far&captions=true"] For more on A Quiet Place: Part II, check out the early reactions to the "scary, worthy sequel" and Krasinski's comments on the possibility of turning A Quiet Place into a trilogy. The Boys Season 2 Reveals First Image of New Superhero

You're The Worst's Aya Cash will be joining Amazon Prime Video's The Boys as a brand new superhero called Stormfront, and EW has revealed a first look at her in full costume. EW shared two images, as well as the first details on what Stormfront will bring to The Boys' second season. “She’s the grenade that gets thrown into Homelander’s world and the world of the Seven,” says Antony Starr, who plays Homelander, the leader of The Seven. "She really causes me so many problems." [caption id="attachment_2316479" align="aligncenter" width="1333"]Photo via EW: James Minchin/Amazon Photo via EW: James Minchin/Amazon[/caption] In The Boys comic series, Stormfront is "male, a riff on Thor and Shazam! with a little Nazism thrown in." However, this version of Stormfront will come "with her own agenda." "I think Stormfront is like a nuclear bomb that goes off in the Seven," Explains Cash. "Maybe nuclear bomb isn’t the right word. We’re in Chernobyl. There you go. It’s a Chernobyl thing.I think she’s here to blow up Vought. She’s here to try to get Vought back to the original idea behind creating superheroes... And she can be quite the feminist. There’s a lot of, I wouldn’t say misdirect, but she also is a very empowered woman." Starr further revealed that this upcoming season is "all about destabilization" and that Stormfront is here to "disrupt the status quo." [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=amazons-the-boys-9-surprising-differences-from-the-comics&captions=true"] “She’s really social-media-savvy, where Homelander doesn’t really have anything to do with that," Starr said. "Someone else is always running his accounts. He’s almost like a Don Draper-era character and she’s very young and new and fresh, and that’s a massive challenge for him.” Stormfront has plasma bolt capabilities and isn't afraid to stand up to Homelander, and Cash thinks "the dynamic between the two is terrifying and will change who Homelander is." What really makes Stormfront intriguing is that viewers may think she is one thing at the beginning of season 2, but she may be quite different by the end. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2019/07/21/the-boys-cast-explain-everything-wrong-with-the-avengers-comic-con-2019"] “There are quite a few times where you’ll identify with her as an audience member or agree with what she says," Cash finishes. "I think [those] are the most dangerous people.” For more on The Boys, check out why Black Noir will be "terrifying" in season 2, everything we know about the new season that's set to arrive later this year, and the biggest differences between the show and the comics. Nintendo and Levi’s Denim Collection Revealed

Nintendo and Levi's denim collection has been revealed to include overalls, pants, jackets and more. Levi's teased a collaboration with Nintendo last week on Twitter and now we know exactly what this collaboration will look like. Featuring subtle overalls and not-so-subtle pants, shorts, and jackets, Levi's said in a tweet that this collaboration will be available on April 1. The collection was aptly announced on March 10, which is also Mario Day. You can take a look at the clothes below. As you can see in the tweet, the overalls feature the signature gold coins from the Mario series of games while the other pieces of clothing, like the pants, shorts, and jackets feature basically all of the Mushroom Kingdom including Yoshi, Toad, Wario, Luigi, Bowser, Boo, a Koopa Troopa and more. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2017/11/12/this-custom-super-mario-odyssey-amiibo-is-insanely-realistic"] There's also a denim jacket featuring the words "Super Mario" on it surrounded by a few familiar icons from the games. The person wearing the denim jacket is wearing a red jacket as well, but what's shown in the picture doesn't indicate that the red jacket has anything to do with Mario. It could just be a red jacket to mimic the main color of Mario's outfit, or it could turn out to be something to do with the collaboration. There's no word on how much these articles of clothing from Levi's will cost. The collaboration is coming on April 1. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=every-ign-super-mario-review-ever&captions=true"] The collaboration is coming soon but in the meantime, check out some of the other Mario-themed things that have happened on the Jump Man's big day. LEGO seems to be teasing some kind of Mario collaboration that's forthcoming.
