Apple Announces ‘One More Thing’ Event
Apple has announced a "One More Thing" event set to take place on Tuesday, November 10. Speculation has it that this is when Apple will unveil its first Arm-based Macs running on Apple Silicon Chips. A departure from the Intel processors the company previously favored.
An invitation sent out to customers announced the special event will take place at 10 am PT/1 pm ET from Apple Park. The name comes from the phrase which Apple CEOs use at the end of keynotes for some sort of surprise announcement.

Apple rumors previously pegged the Apple Silicon Chip powered Macs to start arriving at the end of the year. Apple has promised the new chips will deliver a new level of performance at lower power consumption.
Prototypes for the new macs were shown running hefty apps like Final Cut Pro, and the new GPUs in the chips were shown running games like Tomb Raider.
Tune in to IGN on November 10 for a full rundown of Apple's surprise announcement.

Godfall PC Specs Revealed
The minimum and recommended PC specs for the upcoming looter-slasher Godfall have been revealed. If you’re looking for the highest fidelity experience, you may need to upgrade your graphics card.
Posted on the official Twitter account for Godfall, the PC specs can be seen in the image below.
The minimum required specs for Godfall require at least an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 or Intel i5-6600, 12 GB RAM, and either an AMD Radeon RX 580 (8GB) or NVIDIA GeFORCE GTX 1060 (6GB). Those are pretty beefy specs for a minimum recommendation, meaning players may need to upgrade some of their components to be able to run the game effectively.
The recommended settings require at least an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or Intel i7-8700, 16GB RAM, and either an AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT (8GB) or NVIDIA GeFORCE GTX 1080 Ti (11GB).
[ignvideo width=610 height=374 url=https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/10/22/godfall-customization-progression-and-the-tinkerers-dream]
Keep in mind that these are just the recommended settings to enjoy the game. If you’re looking to push the limits and take full advantage of everything Godfall has to offer, you’re going to need to have a pretty hefty rig.
In addition to being available on the Epic Games Store on PC, Godfall is one of the PS5’s upcoming exclusives launching alongside the console November 12th. However, Godfall is $10 cheaper on PC than its PS5 counterpart.
While there is a price difference between the two platforms, the developers have committed to having no microtransactions as they don’t consider it a games-as-a-service.
[ignvideo width=610 height=374 url=https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/06/13/godfall-pc-gameplay-trailer-pc-gaming-show]
Godfall will be available November 12th on PlayStation 5 and PC via the Epic Games Store.
For more Godfall, check out what the developers had to say about the loot and progression system and how you’ll be able to customize your character’s classes.

Microsoft has revealed all the entertainment streaming apps that will be available with the launch of the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, and has also confirmed that Apple TV will be ready at the launch of the new next-gen systems and Xbox One for the first time on November 10.
As revealed on Xbox Wire, Microsoft wants to make the transition from Xbox One to Xbox Series X/S as seamless as possible, and it is bringing forward all the entertainment apps currently available on Xbox One, including Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, Spotify, YouTube, YouTube TV, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, NBC Peacock, Vudu, FandangoNow, Twitch, Sky Go, NOW TV, Sky Ticket and more.
[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/10/28/xbox-series-xs-official-next-gen-walkthrough"]
This news confirms that both the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 will have mostly similar launch line-ups for those looking to watch TV shows or movies on their new consoles.
Microsoft's message of a seamless transition to next-gen also extends to its games, as it has previously stated that it has performed more than 500,000 hours of testing to confirm that every game playable on the Xbox One - from the original Xbox, Xbox 360, and Xbox One - will work on Xbox Series X/S, except for Kinect-only games.
The Xbox Series X, and the cheaper, all-digital Xbox Series S, will be released on November 10, 2020, just two days before the PlayStation 5 arrives on November 12.

Jordan Peele to Produce Remake of the People Under the Stairs
Jordan Peele is reportedly teaming up with Universal Pictures to produce a remake of Wes Craven's 1991 cult classic The People Under the Stairs.
According to Collider, Peele is on board to produce the remake for Universal alongside Win Rosenfeld via their Monkeypaw Productions banner. Peele previously directed Get Out and Us for Universal, though he is not expected to sit in the director's chair on this occasion. It is not currently known whether Peele and Rosenfeld will contribute to the script for the horror film, as they did in co-writing the forthcoming Candyman reboot alongside director Nia DaCosta.
Wes Craven's thoughtful blend of horror and psychology frequently had a political angle, but never more so than in The People Under the Stairs. The original film starred Brandon Adams as "Fool," a young black boy who breaks into the house of his corrupt landlords, only to get trapped in their insulated, religiously oppressive, incestuous and violent world of madness, where those who don't follow the rules are brutally punished by "Mommy" (Wendy Robie) and "Daddy" (Everett McGill).
[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/03/05/how-jordan-peeles-candyman-is-connected-to-the-original-film"]
As the outlet notes, The People Under the Stairs will be the first of Craven's films to be given the remake treatment since the acclaimed horror director passed away in 2015. Craven was said to be working on three projects prior to his death, one of which included a television series of The People Under the Stairs for the SyFy Channel. Though the show never moved forward, it was described as "Downton Abbey meets Amityville Horror."
Craven's Scream franchise is also getting a new lease of life, with a new installment of the slasher film series currently in production. Scream 5 is scheduled to arrive in theaters on January 14, 2022, which is almost 11 years after Scream 4 was released and about 25 years after the original Scream. Craven said in 2011 that the producers of Scream 4 envisioned the film to be the start of a trilogy, however, the fifth film is being branded as a "relaunch" of the franchise.

Upcoming England Lockdown Affecting Xbox Series X, S, PS5 Pre-Orders
The nationwide lockdown beginning in England on Thursday, November 5 has caused multiple retailers with physical stores to change their policies regarding collecting preorders for PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
All non-essential retailers in the UK will be closed to visitors from midnight on Thursday until December 2 – crossing launch dates for Xbox Series X, S and PS5. However, deliveries and collection services can continue to run.
UK retailer Game addressed the potential issues on Twitter, explaining that customers with preorders should go into shops and pay for their new Xbox Series X and S units by Wednesday, meaning they will be able to pick up the units on launch day:
Game is also one of the approved retailers for the Xbox All Access programme in the UK - the retailer says it will contact those using All Access tomorrow, November 3. The retailer's currently made no mention of PS5 preorders, although it seems likely that the system will be the same before its November 19 UK launch date. Most major UK retailers appear to be following suit with Game's collection plan for preorders. Smyths have assured customers that pre-orders are safe, and that payment and collection details will be emailed shortly. Argos will offer collections from both stores and in associated branches of Sainsbury's which, as a supermarket, will remain open. Currys PC World seems less sure of policy right now, with its Team Knowhow service partner saying it's "uncertain as of yet what's happening". At time of writing, IGN knows of no physical UK retailer cancelling preorders for next-gen consoles, and delivery-based preorders also appear unaffected. One unknown is whether retailers will receive any extra stock of next-gen consoles on launch day – Game says it has no confirmation of extra units right now.
