Stephen Amell Talks Arrow’s Surprise Ending
This interview contains spoilers for Arrow Season 7, episode 7, "The Slabside Redemption."
We knew it had to happen before the Arrowverse Elseworlds crossover - Oliver Queen is finally out of prison, with Ricardo Diaz now behind bars in his place.
After surviving an epic prison riot (the episode was directed by the show's former stunt coordinator James Bamford), Oliver is now a free man, but spending months behind bars has taken its toll on the former vigilante, as Stephen Amell recently told reporters during a Vancouver set visit.
Alien: Blackout Reveal May Come During The Game Awards
A fresh trademark spotted here on the World Intellectual Property Organization’s site (via Eurogamer) appears to indicate Fox’s next Alien video game will be called Alien: Blackout.
The trademark overtly specifies video games as the classification, not a film.
The emergence of the trademark filing coincides with a peculiar exchange between Hideo Kojima and The Game Awards official Twitter account, following a visit by Kojima to 20th Century Fox where he posed with an Alien egg and poster.
Aquaman: First Reactions Twitter Roundup
Aquaman was screened to members of the press ahead of the film's release, and those who saw it have now been allowed to post their reactions to social media.
Overall, the responses have been extremely positive, with many giving credit to James Wan's vision and creativity for the film, as well as the "visual spectacle" and fun time that it brings to a viewer, and especially a DC fan. A few reactions came in underwhelmed and noted to not have expectations set too high, but that the film was still a good time.
Our roundup of Twitter's first reactions follows:
IGN's own entertainment crew shared their thoughts, with Terri Schwartz giving her endorsement to none other than Julie Andrews' voice as a giant Kraken.
Wreck-It Ralph 2 Has Second Best Thanksgiving Opening Weekend
Despite Creed II putting up a good fight (pun intended), Disney continued its dominance over the Thanksgiving weekend, with Ralph Breaks the Internet (a.k.a. Wreck-It Ralph 2) taking in $55.7 million over the three-day weekend and $84.5 million over the five-day Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The five-day total is the second best in Thanksgiving history, just behind the $93.6 million earned by Frozen in 2013, and just above the $82.1 million Moana earned in 2016. We’re delving deeper into the numbers to compare the three-day tally to the rest of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ movies, with many of the studio’s most recent hits arriving over the holiday.
Kingdom Hearts 3: Exclusive Keyblade Pre-Order DLC Coming to Amazon
An exclusive Keyblade is coming for those who preorder Kingdom Hearts III through Amazon.
Announced through an Amazon Deals Twitch stream, The Dawn Till Dusk Keyblade’s design is relatively straight forward: it uses the same blade seen in the standard Kingdom Key Keyblade, though its hilt contains a mix of green and gold, featuring symbols of a crescent moon, sun and star. Any sort of special stats the weapon may hold have not been revealed.
Fans Want Skyrim-Playing Grandma Immortalized in Elder Scrolls 6
Seven years have already passed since the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was released, and now the community wants to see an 82-year-old fan who regularly plays the game included in its next entry.
Per Eurogamer, Reddit user phantom-scribbler started a push to have Bethesda create a version of 82-year-old YouTuber, Skyrim aficionado and grandmother Shirley Curry in the Elder Scrolls 6. The petition was inspired by a rather macabre comment Curry made in response to last month’s comments made by Bethesda VP of PR and marketing, which implied the Elder Scrolls 6 might still be several years away from release.
