The Best Space Opera Movies (That Aren’t Star Wars)
Let's be honest here: When most of us think of space operas, we're really thinking of Star Wars. And with good cause! Star Wars took the oft-maligned genre of the space opera - essentially, an adventurous melodrama in set in outer space and/or on distant planets - and found just the right way to take it seriously. George Lucas took the fantastical locales, costumes and weapons from the old Flash Gordon serials and filtered them through World War II "men on a mission" films (complete with space Nazis), epic samurai dramas and Western fantasy tropes to create a world that was both alien and lived in. You can really believe in the world of Star Wars. That's why it endures to this day.
Alden Ehrenreich Has Signed on for More Movies as Solo
Solo: A Star Wars Story could be the first of several movies starring Alden Ehrenreich as everyone's favorite smuggler, as the actor has revealed he's signed on to appear as Han Solo in three movies.
In an interview with Esquire for its latest cover story, Ehrenreich was asked how many films he's signed up for as Han Solo, to which he replied: "Three." The actor then flinched, before adding, "I don't know if that's officially, uh, public. But—yeah."
Fortnite’s Self-Refund Feature Has Been Disabled Temporarily
Fortnite's latest update introduced a self-refund feature, but the devs are temporarily rolling it back to fix an issue it caused in the short time it was live.
The new self-service cosmetics return feature was added in patch V3.6, and allows players to return cosmetic items for V-bucks within 30 days of purchase. "Due to an issue discovered with the 'Self Refund' feature, we’ll be disabling it until we create a fix and make some usability improvements to the system," Epic Games tweeted.
7 Movies to Watch After You Finish God of War
God of War is out, it’s a masterpiece, and you should play it. But you can’t play it all the time, and when you’re not playing it, we’re guessing you’re thinking about playing it.
If you’re on the bus and your PlayStation is far away, if you’re on your lunch break at work, if your controller’s battery has died, if you’re waiting for Amazon to deliver your PlayStation so you can play God of War... then we recommend watching these movies. Each of these seven films will help you appreciate God of War in a different way.
They’re all contextually or thematically congruent with the games’ marvelous style and story, and they explore many of the same ideas. Most are good, one is bad (we’ll get to that), but every one of these movies will likely enhance your enjoyment of Sony’s modern classic.

Yes, Tom Hardy Voices Venom in the New Trailer
Tom Hardy is pulling double duty in Sony's upcoming Venom film, as both journalist Eddie Brock and the voice of the titular monster.
When the second trailer dropped following a footage presentation at the Las Vegas-based CinemaCon event, some audience members seemed to question whether the deep, gravelly voice of the symbiote was an entirely separate actor. Nope, that's still Hardy doing his thing. The actor has a history of including distinct voices in his roles. He voiced a Storm Trooper in Star Wars: The Last Jedi last year with an odd Southern drawl that was cut from the film, and who could forget that Bane performance in The Dark Knight Rises? Check out the finally revealed Venom voice in the trailer below:
