Chris Evans to Star in New Disaster Thriller From District 9 Director
Chris Evans and District 9 director Neill Blomkamp are teaming up for the new disaster thriller, Greenland.
The movie centers on one family's fight for survival during a cataclysmic natural disaster. Not much else about the plot is currently known. Principal photography will begin in the last quarter of 2018, but there's no release date set yet.
Anton is producing the project along with Thunder Road’s Basil Iwanyk. Sébastien Raybaud, Harold van Lier, Nik Bower, and Deepak Nayar are executive producing. STXinternational is handling international distribution.
“Greenland is the kind of highly commercial genre fare that sees Neill Blomkamp doing what he does best: delivering a smart, fresh, high concept narrative in a world we can easily recognize,” David Kosse said, president of STXinternational.

Brooklyn Nine Nine Revived After Cancellation
After its cancellations at Fox, cop comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine has been revived at NBC for a 13-episode sixth season.
Executive producer Dan Goor announced on Twitter that the beloved comedy, which aired for five seasons on Fox, has escaped cancellation.

ABC Officially Cancels Marvel’s Inhumans
Marvel's Inhumans won't see a second season.
As reported by TVLine, ABC has canceled the show after just one season, which spanned a total of eight episodes. For the majority of its run, Marvel's Inhumans averaged a 0.6 rating and viewer count of 2.65 million. For its final two episodes, the show dropped to a 0.5 rating and 1.95 million viewers.
The cancelation of Marvel's Inhumans isn't all that surprising given comments from ABC about the show's future earlier this year. During the Television Critics Association press tour, ABC's Channing Dungey said the series' viewer numbers turned out to be "less exciting for us than we hoped they would be."

It hasn't been an easy week for many shows, as networks have been making tough decisions about what to bring back to TV next season. So far, we've counted 17 cancellations for this week alone, and there are surely more to come.
According to a report from EW, the reasons behind all this bloodshed are connected to the end of pilot season and networks gearing up for their yearly presentations to advertisers. Basically, it's all about the money. Don't worry -- soon networks will be allowing the new shows they're adding to their slates as well.
