Ubisoft’s Yves Guillemot Says the Next Console Generation Will Be the Last

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot still thinks that the next gen of consoles will be the last, and that streaming is the future of video games.

Guillemot says that the ability to stream AAA games has changed the industry, and will continue to do so, eliminating the need for expensive hardware in the home, although Xbox boss Phil Spencer, and NIntendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aimé don't quite see that happening just yet.

"I think we will see another generation, but there is a good chance that step-by-step we will see less and less hardware,” Guillemot told Variety. "With time, I think streaming will become more accessible to many players and make it not necessary to have big hardware at home.

Marvel’s New Black Panther Comic Embraces the Movie In the Right Way

Marvel's Fresh Start relaunch has brought about a number of big changes for popular heroes, but perhaps no hero's world has changed as radically as Black Panther's. The recent Black Panther #1 introduced a drastically different status quo, one where T'Challa finds himself a prisoner who breaks out to join an interstellar resistance force. Rarely has a comic kept the same writer and yet changed so drastically from one issue to the next. But this new status quo also seems to be just the change of pace Black Panther needed, as well as giving Marvel the chance to draw in some characters and elements from the movie that otherwise wouldn't be possible.

An Austrian court has ruled that YouTube is not a neutral host provider, and is liable for copyright infringement on the platform.

In a potentially groundbreaking decision, an Austrian commercial court has made a preliminary decision that rules in favour of an Austrian TV channel that filed a suit against YouTube in 2014, when copyright-protected content from the channel appeared on the platform, reports THR.

If upheld, the decision would make YouTube legally accountable for content posted by users, meaning the company would have to strictly regulate content, or risk fines or other possible consequences, although this would only apply in Europe.
