Rick and Morty Creator Reveals Trover Saves the Universe

Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland revealed Trover Saves the Universe, coming soon to PS4 and PSVR. This announcement came during Sony's E3 2018 press conference.

Trover Saves the Universe is coming early 2019. There aren't a whole lot of details about the gameplay, but the reveal trailer points to a 3D platformer with the same sense of humor you'd imagine from a co-creator of Rick and Morty.

The game's official website has a short description: "Wonderful. Your dogs have been dognapped by a beaked lunatic who stuffed them into his eye holes and is using their life essence to destroy the Universe. Does that make sense?" The following comic strip is the game's official press release.

Resident Evil 2 Remake Release Date Announced

Resident Evil 2 Remake will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on January 25, 2019.

The launch date was revealed at the end of a trailer that debuted during Sony's E3 press conference. Instead of featuring a first-person perspective like Resident Evil 7, the remake of Resident Evil 2 has a third-person over-the-shoulder camera like Resident Evil 4.

According to Capcom, the game has been completely rebuilt using the RE Engine—the same engine used to power Resident Evil 7—and features "modernized controls on top of gameplay modes from the original game." Both Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield will be playable via their own distinct storylines.

Resident Evil 2 was released on the original PlayStation back in January 1998. Hideki Kamiya was the game's director, with Shinji Mikami sliding over into a producer role. It eventually made its way to PC, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, and GameCube.

Sucker Punch's Ghost of Tsushima showed off some brand new gameplay at tonight's Sony E3 conference, revealing new features in the process.

Set during a Mongol Invasion, the gameplay showed off horse riding, some Kurosawa-indebted combat, and a new bow-focused companion, Masako, who quickly becomes an enemy for what seems to be an almost fighting game-like 1-on-1 battle.

In a blog post Sucker Punch revealed that the main character is called Jin Sakai, "a powerful samurai warrior whose adventure draws on Japanese history and the iconic traditions of samurai cinema to craft a gorgeous tale of revenge, empowerment, and hope."

God of War will be getting a New Game+ mode. This news came during Sony's E3 2018 Conference.

A Sony blogpost went into further detail, saying, "Have you ever imagined that first test of strength defying battle with Baldur while adorning the Valkyrie Armor on Kratos? You can with New Game+. How about a fully upgraded Leviathan Axe at the start of the game? That will also be possible, and quite frankly, you may need it, New Game+ won’t just be a sunny stroll through Midgard. In New Game+, you’ll start a new game with many upgrades you had from the completion of your last main quest, such as armors, pommels, talismans, and more…except your strength to open or kick down doors remains the same."

Tunic Is An Adorable Adventure Hiding Dark Secrets

One of the biggest little games shown during Microsoft’s E3 2018 conference caught me by total surprise. It’s called Tunic, a beautiful isometric action-adventure starring a cute fox as it ventures through a blocky, fantasy open-world full of mystery and secrets.

I was able to get my hands on a brief portion of Tunic -- previously known as Secret Legend -- and I can confirm it’s cute as heck, with an excellent atmosphere of exploration and discovery. But it’s also not just a really, really pretty adventure. There’s a current of difficulty and danger that runs below the surface.

When I spoke to Andrew Shouldice, the mostly one-man developer -- who outsourced some of the game's excellent sound design -- of Tunic, he was very clear that Tunic is more than just a cute-fox simulator.
