Konami Shuts Down P.T. PC Remake, Offers Developer an Internship
A fan project to bring the famously-deleted P.T. to PC has been forced into cancellation by Konami, but the developer of the remake has been offered an internship at the company.
Hideo Kojima's cancelled Silent Hills teaser has had a number of remakes, but a recent example, 'PT for PC' by 17 year-old developer Qimsar, was looking pretty impressive - and close to being finished.
Unfortunately the project has been shut down by Konami due to "legal issues", but in an update, Qimsar says that he has been offered an internship at the publisher, working with its EU, US and Japanese offices. On top of the internship, Konami is hooking up Qimsar with some merch and video games.
How The Clone Wars Could Hint at the Future of the Star Wars Franchise
“I need someone to show me my place in all of this,” Rey begs Luke Skywalker shortly after meeting him in The Last Jedi - and her quest for meaning, for belonging, forms the much of the narrative engine for Disney's current extension of the Star Wars saga. That hero's journey - from being "nobody" to being somebody who can make a difference - has been in Star Wars' DNA from the start, reflected in everything from A New Hope to The Clone Wars series - and embracing that quality could be the key to the franchise's future.
Rey is an outsider by design (it’s telling that J.J. Abrams chose to introduce her as a purposefully isolated character, severed from the narrative threads of the Skywalker family in The Force Awakens) and while fans are still debating whether her parents are truly nobodies from nowhere, as The Last Jedi states, the notion that one gifted but lowly hero could change the course of the galaxy harkens right back to George Lucas' original 1977 film, when Luke's father wasn't secretly Darth Vader and his tragic descent into darkness wasn't the catalyst for an entirely separate trilogy of movies.
How Octopath Traveler Became Such A Big Hit
How well can a game that looks like it came from the SNES era sell in 2018? Well, it's been less than a week since the release of Octopath Traveler and even Square Enix didn't know how wildly popular it would become. Physical copies have already sold out in most stores around the world, and in the UK it's currently ranking third on the national sales charts.
It's not very often that a JRPG makes a dent on the national sales charts and reaches mainstream success. The last game to do so was highly modernized Persona 5 on PS4, which placed second on US NPD sales charts within the first week of its release. So why is Octopath Traveler, a JRPG that looks like it came straight out of the SNES era selling so well in 2018? Well, here's what Director Keisuke Miyauchi had to say in Nintendo's latest blog post about what went into making sure that Octopath Traveler would appeal to all players.
Ubisoft Games On PC Outsold Xbox Last Quarter

The PS4 brought in 38% of its sales, a 6% decrease from last year, and the Switch brought in 5% of its sales. The report also revealed that North America is Ubisoft's largest market, accounting for 45% of its sales, with Europe at 35% and all other regions at 20%.

Sea of Thieves’ Kraken Versus Megalodon Is a Pirate Nightmare
A Sea of Thieves player captured a once in a lifetime moment straight of a pirate nightmare.
Reddit user ClawofChaos was sailing with his crew when the unthinkable happened… his crew was attacked by the Megalodon AND the Kraken at the same time. While it’s not unusual to find yourself wrapped up in the slimy embrace of the Kraken, or hunted by the angry mega shark on the Sea of Thieves, the coordinated sea-monster Blitzkrieg is incredibly rare.
But it gets weirder. Turns out the two monsters don’t have much love for one another either. In the above clip, there’s an insane moment where the Megalodon moves in to ram the ship just as the Kraken slams its tentacle over the deck and… effectively punches the shark in the face.
