DC held its Meet the Publishers panel at Comic-Con today, with Co-Publishers Jim Lee and Dan DiDio spotlighting a number of major upcoming projects. The biggest news from the panel is that The Darkness creator Marc Silvestri is writing and drawing a new mini-series called Batman/Joker: Deadly Duo.

As the title suggests, this series features the two characters joining forces for a change. Their alliance comes in response to an unknown enemy who is simultaneously tormenting the Joker from afar and torturing a kidnapped Commissioner Gordon. The series will be set outside traditional DC continuity and be published through the DC Black Label imprint.

We Saw The Ultimate Predator Decapitate a Predator

20th Century Fox kicked off San Diego Comic-Con 2018 on Thursday with an exclusive sneak peek at The Predator, showcasing new footage from the upcoming sequel-reboot that showcased the movie's R-rated gore and humor.

Some SPOILERS follow for The Predator, although if you've seen the poster then this really shouldn't come as a surprise to you.

In The Predator, suburbia becomes the latest battleground in the war between humans and the titular alien hunters. Mysterious Black Sarcophagus Finally Opened in Egypt

The huge, 30 ton mortar-sealed black granite sarcophagus unearthed at a construction site in Alexandria, Egypt has finally been opened, two weeks after its discovery.

Public reaction to the initial discovery of the sarcophagus ranged from serious speculation that the tomb may contain the corpse of Alexander the Great to joking threats of ancient curses should it ever be opened.

What Egyptian archaeologists actually found was not so dramatic, but still fascinating and a little disgusting: three decomposed mummies marinating in a soup of dark sewage water that had leaked in through a crack on the side of the casket.

Iron Man 3 Director Knocks Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War

During the Q&A section of The Predator panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2018, Iron Man 3 director Shane Black threw some shade at Infinity War, citing interactions between Thanos and Spider-Man.

"One moment there's a train coming at him he can turn it into a flock of birds," said Black. "The next minute Spider-Man is coming at him and he's like, 'Oh, my eyes! It's got webbing!' I loved the movie, it's just, the kid had to do something"

Black said he was a fan of Infinity War, but when answering one of the many questions about whether the Predator would win in a fight against a number of characters, the Thanos/Spider-Man disparity came up. IGN was in attendance at the panel.

Doctor Who: Every Doctor Explained

Note: With the eleventh season (or series, depending on what you like to call it) of Doctor Who on its way, and with a new female Doctor making her debut at San Diego Comic-Con this week, we figured this was a great time to look back at this Guide to All the Doctors.

Doctor Who has never been more popular. So what better time to take a look back at all the Doctors from the show’s 50-plus year history? We’re going to tell you about each incarnation in chronological order, explaining why every Doctor is awesome and worthy of your attention! (For even more on the show, check out our Intro to Doctor Who right here.)

The 10 Best ’80s Action Movies

The 1980s were a golden era for action cinema, with giant blockbusters and innovative low-budget films alike, many of them changing the way audiences looked at the genre. With the innovation of crazier stunts and more exhilarating effects and a sudden shift in the industry towards movies that appealed to younger demographics (thanks, in large part, to Star Wars), filmmakers were pushing the limits of the medium left and right with more exciting and imaginative thrill rides than ever before.

So coming up with a list of the very best action movies of the 1980s is, unsurprisingly, ridiculously difficult. Many a frantic debate was held at the IGN offices about whether films like Batman were action-packed enough, or whether films like RoboCop were just too danged funny to qualify. And everyone was pretty bummed out when at least one of their favorite movies didn't make the cut (sorry Big Trouble in Little China, you came THIS close!).
