Comic-Con’s Craziest Panel Was a Drunk Rick and Morty Radio Show
By 10pm on Saturday night, every major Comic-Con announcement had pretty much happened. But while people were obsessing over new Aquaman and Shazam trailers, I was sitting on the grass behind the San Diego Convention Center watching Rick and Morty co-creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon host a fake interstellar radio show fueled by equal parts insanity, improv, and alcohol.
The “Floop and Noop and Bloops Show” -- also called the “Scroopy Noop Doop Show,” “Snoopy Gloopo Asks the Scoops,” or whatever other combination of sounds Roiland decided to make each time he said it -- was ostensibly a two-hour long preview of the Rick and Morty soundtrack album with commentary from the show’s creators, but it went wildly off the rails from that pitch in the best possible way.
Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms Ending Explained and Other Details From the Director
This is a spoiler-filled feature for Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms.
Though the ending to Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms was rather straightforward — Maquia accepts loss as a part of life, and though sad, celebrates the time spent with Ariel — the very final shot after the credits leaves room for speculation. I had the pleasure of sitting down with Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms’ director and writer, Mari Okada, at Anime Expo to get some of my biggest questions cleared up and learned some other interesting information about the film and Okada too.
After the credits roll, an image of Maquia, Leilia standing next to the Renato, and a number of other people near the Iolph people’s original home is shown. A woman with red hair stands out most. According to Okada, these other people are all descendants of the Iolph.
This Lightsaber Could Be Worth $240,000
Update 8/4: Check out all the collectibles from Profiles in History that we spotted at SDCC this year.
This year's Comic-Con has been packed with amazing, geeky collectibles from a variety of companies. But how many collectibles can be said to be truly one of a kind? That's pretty much where Profiles in History comes in. This company specializes in selling authentic, screen-used props and movie memorabilia. Their Comic-Con booth is a treasure trove of Hollywood artifacts, from Hugh Jackman's Wolverine claws to a vintage Star Wars lightsaber hilt potentially worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Since most of us will probably never have the chance to own props like these, we'll have to settle for gazing longingly from afar. Check out our slideshow below to see the pricey gems on display at the show.

Colony Canceled After 3 Seasons
Less than a week out from the show's Season 3 finale this coming Wednesday, USA's Colony, starring Josh Holloway and Sarah Wayne Callies, has been canceled.
Deadline is reporting that the sci-fi series, which underwent stark creative changes this season, is no more. Despite strong ratings for its first season, the show shed viewers in its second season after production moved from Los Angeles to Vancouver, causing the storyline to adjust and accommodate.
Glass is the Third Act We Always Wanted for Unbreakable
Warning: Spoilers for Unbreakable and Split follow...
Long before the MCU, and even before Sam Raimi's first Spider-Man film, M. Night Shyamalan followed up his massive breakout hit The Sixth Sense with a really solid take on the old "what if superheroes were real?" story.
Unbreakable, starring Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson, didn't reach the heights of Sixth Sense but in looking back, fans still herald it as one of the writer/director's best and most satisfying projects. The way the story unfolded definitely seemed to set up "adventures to come," though it also managed to stand very well on its own, as an isolated island work, without franchise goals. You could certainly imagine Willis' David Dunn continuing his work as Philadelphia's super strong rain-poncho'd vigilante while Jackson's Elijah "Mr. Glass" Price rotted away in a psychiatric care facility...and that was enough for most.
Why Venom Is Missing His White Spider Chest Symbol
Venom director, Ruben Fleischer has explained why Venom is missing his white spider chest symbol in the upcoming movie.
When asked by IGN about the lack of symbol in new footage revealed exclusively at San Diego Comic-Con, Ruben explained that a spider logo wouldn't make sense as this iteration of Venom didn't start with Spider-Man.
"If you look at the comics, in Venom, there is just elements of white within his suit. Because our character does not originate from Spider-Man, it makes no sense to put a spider on his chest. We tried to be as accurate as we possibly could, even though some people feel it's inaccurate, but there is a lot of white and we wanted to give him a distinctive pattern."

The sequel’s time-traveling coda set to Cher’s “If I Could Turn Back Time” bow features a scene where Deadpool goes back to 1899 and wrestles with killing baby Adolf Hitler.
The future Fuhrer is in his crib in the nursery of an Austrian hospital when 'Pool walks in. He wrestles with the choice, realizing it’s not as easy as he thought it would be. Huge Dumbledore Mystery Answered in New Fantastic Beasts Trailer
In the new trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald revealed at Comic-Con 2018, one key moment finally reveals what Dumbledore sees when he looks into the Mirror of Erised, answering a mystery that has puzzled Harry Potter fans since the first entry in the series, The Sorcerer’s Stone, first published in the UK as The Philosopher's Stone in 1997.
If you haven't already, check out the new trailer:
In the Sorcerer’s Stone, Harry discovers the Mirror of Erised, a magical mirror that, when looked into, shows the individual what they most desire. “Erised” spelled backwards is “desire,” get it? When Harry looks into the mirror, he sees his parents who he longed to have in his life but were murdered by Voldemort when he was a baby. Dumbledore takes notice that Harry is making repeat visits to the mirror, so he advises Harry to not linger on what he cannot have, lest he go mad like others who have become obsessed with what the mirror shows them. Harry takes his advice, but not before asking Dumbledore what he sees in the mirror. Dumbledore answers that he saw himself holding a pair of socks because he wasn’t given any for Christmas.
