Infinity War Commentary Track Reveals Kenneth Branagh Cameo

Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War is now available on Digital HD, and while fans are scouring through the film and the special features, the commentary track reveals a surprise cameo almost immediately. Director Joe Russo, who is featured on the commentary track with his brother Anthony Russo and writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, states right away that Kenneth Branagh lends his voice to the Asgardian who sends out a distress call, which is literally the first thing heard in the movie. The character is never seen, but director Joe Russo said Branagh’s involvement came very late.

“This was an amazing surprise, by the way. We had this idea very late in editorial, to ask the amazing Sir Kenneth Branagh to come in and do the opening distress call, over the logo, that sets the stage and carries us into the scene with Thor and Thanos and Loki on the arc.”

Infinity Wars #1 has revealed the true identity of Requiem, the newest cosmic heavy-hitter in the Marvel Universe.

Requiem made a pretty strong impression in her debut appearance in Infinity Wars Prime #1 last week. As Marvel has been showcasing on Twitter all week, this new villain quickly and easily killed Thanos, cutting short the Mad Titan's latest quest to gather the six Infinity Stones. In this issue, Doctor Strange gathers together the current stewards of the Infinity Stones, hoping to create a new Infinity Watch to protect the planet from Thanos. Needless to say, this motley crew of heroes and villains is displeased to discover that a mysterious new player has taken Thanos off the board.

DC Super Pets Movie Reportedly in the Works at Warner Bros.

The writer of The LEGO Batman Movie and The LEGO Ninjago Movie, Jared Stern, has been hired by Warner Bros. for an animated movie, Super Pets, according to Collider.

Stern will write and direct Super Pets, which is focused around the famous DC characters' pets.

The property has most recently been an animated series on Cartoon Network, starring Maria Bamford, Diedrich Bader, and Debra Wilson. It is unknown whether he will use DC's Legion of Super-Pets or the Cartoon Network series for the script.

Elon Musk Announces Classic Atari Games Will Come to Tesla Cars Soon

Elon Musk announced on Twitter Wednesday his collaboration with Atari to release some of the classic games in the Tesla V9.0 update in approximately 4 weeks.

The tweet reads: "Some of best classic @Atari games coming as Easter eggs in Tesla V9.0 release in about 4 weeks. Thanks @Atari!"

Valve Announces Artifact Release Date

Artifact, the Dota 2 influenced digital collectible card game from Valve, is set to release on Steam November 28, 2018 for PC, MacOS and Linux, and later in 2019 for iOS and Android devices.

The game offers more than 280 cards in its shipping set and players will be able to buy and sell their cards on the Steam Community Marketplace.

Artifact will be playable by attendees of this year's PAX West in Seattle, which runs from August 31 to September 3. At PAX, players can battle each other over a continuous, single-elimination gauntlet in order to win the right to challenge a champion on the main stage. Each participant can earn Artifact merchandise, like signed prints of artwork and two keys for free copies of the game when it's released in November.

Nintendo Reveals Gamescom 2018 Lineup

Nintendo has revealed its lineup for Gamescom 2018.

As detailed on Nintendo's website, players will be able to try out five of Super Mario Party's new minigames and get their hands on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

The rest of Nintendo's lineup includes FIFA 19, Starlink: Battle for Atlas, Killer Queen Black, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Dark Souls: Remastered, and Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes.

Nintendo will also release gameplay videos of select titles such as Xenoblade Chronicles 2 DLC Torna:The Golden Country and Daemon X Machina throughout the show.

Infinity War Directors Reveal Thanos’ Snap Permanently Damaged Him

Thanos' snap in Avengers: Infinity War dealt a heavy blow to the mad titan and his Infinity Gauntlet, and now we have a better idea of what that means.

During the bonus features for the movie's DigitalHD release, directors Joe and Anthony Russo revealed the snap, which caused half of the universe to perish, permanently damaged Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet.

“See there, with his Gauntlet and the arm, the power that it takes to use all six Stones is significant, and clearly damaged the Gauntlet and damaged Thanos permanently," Joe Russo said, discussing one of the final scenes in the movie.

That Spider-Man Moment Was Originally Going to Be Much Shorter in Avengers: Infinity War

If you've seen Avengers: Infinity War, that Spider-Man moment was a standout, but it almost didn't happen that way.

Spoilers ahead for the end of Infinity War, so if you haven't watched it yet, you've been warned.

Tom Holland's final scene in Infinity War is a tearjerker that fans have immortalized in meme form, but it turns out the scene was originally going to be much shorter. The moment in question follows the snap of Thanos' fingers that erases half of all life in the universe. A number of earth's mightiest heroes get wiped out, including Spider-Man, but according to directors Joe and Anthony Russo, and writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, they intended Spidey's demise to happen much more quickly rather than in the sad, lengthy manner it happened.
