Ewan McGregor Says There Are ‘No Plans’ For an Obi-Wan Movie Starring Him

Ewan McGregor has once again said that he'd like to return to the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi, but says he knows of no plans to make a spin-off film starring the character - despite earlier reports.

Speaking on The View, the actor said: "I would totally do it, of course. There's no plans, as such, to do it as far as I know."

Reports earlier this year suggested an Obi-Wan movie was in the works, set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, with Obi-Wan in exile on Tatooine. That could make Obi-Wan significantly older than McGregor, which could account for why McGregor's heard nothing.

Is Spider-Man on PS4’s Launch Trailer Teasing a Big Role for Miles Morales?

Though we may get another tease or two in the weeks to come, the launch trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man is likely our last big look at the upcoming PS4 exclusive. And though it largely touches on scenes and themes we’ve seen before, could its structure be hinting at a much larger, playable role for one of its main supporting characters?

Insomniac Games revealed Miles Morales would appear in its Spider-Man adventure back at E3 2017, with a quick tease of Peter Parker-as-Spidey swinging over his head. But since then, we’ve gotten even more Miles.

World of Warcraft Director to Give PAX West 2018 Opening Keynote

Ion Hazzikostas, the current game director for World of Warcraft, is set to give the opening “Storytime” keynote speech at PAX West 2018, which will take place in the Washington State Convention Center between August 31 and September 3.

Though Hazzikostas joined Blizzard in 2008 to design raid encounters, balance classes and maintain the game's achievement system for Wrath of the Lich King, he officially became WoW's game director in 2016. This keynote will come after WoW's newest expansion, Battle for Azeroth, is released on August 14.

“There really are two worlds - one before World of Warcraft, and one after,” said Jerry Holkins, co-founder of Penny Arcade and PAX. “I can't wait to hear Ion Hazzikostas share some stories from the early days of WoW all the way up to the release of Battle for Azeroth.”

Why Slender Man Wasn’t This Year’s IT at the Box Office

Sony’s Screen Gems rolled out their new thriller Slender Man in theaters this weekend, although it could only muster up a fourth-place debut with $11.3 million. The good news is the movie only cost the studio $10 million to make, but given this middling debut, this thriller starring Joey King and Javier Botet as the title character, is most likely dead on arrival, with a domestic total that will likely top out between $25 million and $30 million. Much like last year’s blockbuster IT, Slender Man had some intriguing and unique origins, which developed a big fan base around a series of memes (much like how the original Tim Curry Pennywise memes/GIFs kept IT in the pop culture zeitgeist), but Slender Man just couldn’t capitalize on that same momentum like IT did, and now we’re going to break down why.

Creator of Game of Thrones, George R.R. Martin shared his influence from J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings series in an interview with PBS, according to BGR.

PBS sat down with Martin for The Great American Read event where celebrities and authors weigh in on which book they think is the most-loved book in America, with anyone be allowed to vote for their favorites.

Martin's Game of Thrones series is on the list, but he thinks Tolkien's fantasy series should win the honor over his own books.

The massive rift in Fortnite's sky is starting to shrink and will continue to disappear over the next week.

An update released this past Saturday started the closure of the rift where small sections began to vanish every day. According to leaker @FNBRLeaks, the rift will completely disappear on August 21.

During Season 4, the impressive rocket launch event took place during the season's ninth week and ultimately created the giant rift we see today. Teases for the event like the skulls appearing on TV screens and the rocket holograms began appearing during the season's seventh week.
