Spyro Reignited Trilogy Delayed to November

Spyro fans will have to wait just a few weeks more than originally planned to play Toys for Bob's reimagined take on the first three Spyro adventures.

Toys for Bob studio head Paul Yan has confirmed in a blog post that the Spyro Reignited Trilogy for PS4 and Xbox One will now be released on Nov. 13. Toys for Bob and publisher Activision originally had the trilogy collection scheduled for a Sept. 21 release.

Yan, who previously spoke to IGN about recapturing the magic of the original Spyro games, said the team is "deeply committed to getting these games right" and that the delay is because "the Trilogy needs more love and care."

F1 2018 Is Pulling Out All the Stops to Make You Feel Like a Real Racing Driver

Codemasters' Birmingham team (previously Swordfish Studios) has been building F1 games since 2010 and F1 2018 is shaping up to be its best take to date.

With F1 2018 arriving late next week, IGN spoke with game director Lee Mather at Codemasters Studio Birmingham to chat about some of the most exciting changes coming in the game, the rise of F1 esports, and the challenges of building a yearly motorsports sim.

Scarlett Johansson Is Reportedly the Highest Paid Actress in 2018

Avengers: Infinity War star Scarlett Johansson is reportedly the highest-paid actress in 2018 with a whopping $40.5 million earned.

According to Forbes, Johansson "quadrupled" her 2017 earnings to take the top spot. In recent news, the Black Widow star dropped out of a transgender biopic, titled Rub and Tug, after public scrutiny. In an interview with LGBTQ magazine Out, the actress said that she's "learned a lot from the community since making my first statement about my casting and realize it was insensitive."

Warframe Adds Free Street Fighter-Style Fighting Game Mode

Warframe, the free-to-play third-person shooter from Digital Extremes, has recieved a free arcade fighting mini-game called Frame Fighter.

Revealed on the official Warframe website, Frame Fighter can be accessed by visiting Cephalon Simaris, an area in the Sanctuary, and acquiring the Ludoplex through spending Standing resource.

In Frame Fighter, players can choose between the Excalibur, Volt and Mag Warframes, each equipped with their unique ability. More Frame Fighter characters can be unlocked by discovering Fragments - scannable items hidden throughout Warframe.

Treadstone: USA Orders Series Set in Jason Bourne Universe

USA Network has officially ordered the television show Treadstone, which is set in the Jason Bourne universe, straight to series.

As reported by Variety, the series focuses on Operation Treadstone, a top-secret program intended to create nearly superhuman spies and assassins. Treadstone achieved this by breaking down the moralities of its subjects - the first season will reportedly follow multiple subjects as they are "awakened" to complete their missions. The season will begin production in 2019.

Treadstone is being written and executive produced by Tim Kring, known for creating the shows Strange World and Heroes. Other executive producers include Ben Smith, Jefferey Weiner, Dan Friedkin, Bradley Thomas, Justin Levey and Ramin Bahrani, the last of which will also direct the series' pilot.

The Alienist Will Be Back for Season 2

The Alienist is getting a sequel series based on author Caleb Carr's The Angel of Darkness novel, TNT has announced.

The book is set in 1897, a year after the events of The Alienist, and once again follows Dr. Laszlo Kreizler, who's portrayed by Daniel Brühl. Alongside Brühl, Luke Evans and Dakota Fanning will also return for the new series.

A premiere date for The Angel of Darkness has not been set yet.

The Alienist earned six Emmy Award nominations this year, including one for Outstanding Limited Series. The story followed Kreizler and his team as they attempted to capture a ritualistic killer murdering young boys.

This Is How Netflix Buys Shows

In order to secure top-tier series like Stranger Things and Altered Carbon, Netflix is paying more in upfront costs than traditional broadcast networks.

While this financial tactic appears to be the obvious move to compete in the entertainment content wars of 2018, there are some disadvantages for creators and producers who buy-in to the Netflix approach.

In a report from CNBC, the outlet spoke with unnamed Hollywood executives who have had dealings with the streaming giant around the negotiating table. These sources said that Netflix uses a "cost-plus model" to secure the rights for new series.

Pokemon Go: Legendary Pokemon Regirock Added to Raid Battles

Legendary Pokemon Regirock will start to appear in Pokemon Go today.

As announced on the official Pokemon Go Twitter account, Regirock will come to raid battles today at 1:00PM Pacific Time and will remain in the game until September 20.

Regirock follows Registeel and Regice, who were added to Pokemon Go in June and July following the disappearance of Latios and Latias earlier this year. This means every Legendary Pokemon from generation three (which was originally introduced in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire) has now been added to Pokemon Go.

Battlefield V’s Battle Royale Mode Hinted at in New Trailer

At the end of Battlefield V's official Gamescom trailer, titled Devastation of Rotterdam, we get a glimpse of the upcoming battle royale mode.

Beginning at 1:38 of the video below, we are shown a snowy and mountainous region with a ring of fire in the center that is slowly shrinking.

The trailer then cuts to a tank breaking through a building, a soldier screaming "fall back!", and ends with the same ring of fire quickly enclosing the tank, a soldier jumping off a tower, a flaming vehicle entering the fray and more.

This reveal was presented in a similar fashion to the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 multiplayer trailer that also showed their battle royale mode at the end of the video.

MoviePass Reduces Its Film Lineup to 6-7 Titles Daily

MoviePass has reduced its daily movie selection to around six to seven titles.

Variety reports MoviePass released a statement today explaining its daily film lineup has been reduced while the company works through a "transition period."

While the lineup will still contain both indie and blockbuster movies, showtime availability “may be limited depending on the popularity of those films on the app that particular day," according to Variety.

MoviePass has also put a limit on major films in their first two weeks of release. Crazy Rich Asians, for example, will only be available for subscribers starting on August 19, despite the movie having been in theaters since August 15.
