Ark: Survival Evolved Dev Responds to Criticism Over Paid Expansion

ARK: Survival Evolved's community manager Jat has written a response to the recent fan outcry over the Scorched Earth expansion.

Scorched Earth released last week, and includes a new desert area as well as new tools, creatures, and weapons. Fans were confused about the decision to release a paid expansion for a game which is still in Steam's Early Access program.

"Everyone at Wildcard wakes up every day thinking about how we can make ARK into a better game today than it was the day before," said Jat. "It’s not always easy, but our intent is ever-forward progress towards a retail release that will  be far more ambitious in scope and features than our original vision when we launched ARK into Steam Early Access in June 2015."

Pokemon Sun and Moon Getting Pokemon Snap Style Mode

A new trailer for Pokemon Sun and Moon has introduced a raft of new details about the game, including the Poke Finder, a new mode that looks very much like Game Freak has built fan-favourite Pokemon Snap into the new games.

The Poke Finder allows players to take pictures of wild Pokemon in set locations around Alola, then have those photos rated. The better the rating, the more features are unlocked for the Finder - for instance, the ability to zoom in.

The trailer also revealed that Sun and Moon are set "12 hours apart" - essentially, while Pokemon Sun will be tied to the time on your 3DS internal clock, following a full 24-hour day/night cycle, Pokemon Moon will be shifted 12 hours ahead of that time.
